Storing Z for 6 months
I'm about to go on deployment and need to store the Z for 6 months. Anyone ever fogged a car engine before or stored a car for this length of time? So far I have the following tips:
Remove tires
Change fluids (oil, tranny, coolant ect.)
Plug up all holes (exhaust)
Clean it
...it will be in a climate controlled storage space...I just want to stop a rough start and rust in the cylinder walls. Thanks in advance.

I stored my Z for over 6 months over the winter months, the one thing you wanna do is, if possible, have the engine started up from time to time and keep it in neautral whille its sitting. thats all i really did, and it runs and drives fine.
You are on the right track. Excellent advise here: http://www.popularmechanics.com/how_...e/1272486.html
aput some stabilize in the gas tank. i have heard both fill the tank and almost empty the tank. mine is almost empty. i also put some anti humidifiers inside. you can buy them at wall mart. there those silica rocks or something. im storeing mine for a year. im 8 months into my iraq deployment. i had a freind go start it while he was on leave. he connected the batt and it started right up. so thats what i did. i also didnt take the wheels off cause i didnt want to spend the money on jack stands. and i plan on getting new rims and tires anyway. i just put plastic bags on the tail pipes. i should have up rags in there though. well good luck where are you going for only 6 months?

Thank you for all the replies! I don't know how I'm going to last for 6 months without my girl (the Z) and my girlfriend...
its going to be tough, but at least its not for a year like the guy above! I don't know how your doin that bro...and I'll see you in the sandbox soon!
My last question is...do the majority of you recommend starting it monthly, or fogging the engine and leaving it "stale"? Thanks again!
