What was "Z" influence?
My brother had a '90 TT Z, and a little after he sold it i graduated from college and got a real job finally. The 350z had the best balance of looks, power, handling, reliability, and price.
I've always owned Nissans and have always loved them, I guess I don't really know why. I used to own a Sentra and have always loved Z's...my mom used to have a 240Z. When the 350Z came out I knew that's the only car I want to own.
Its very likely that I'll own Z's for the rest of my life, assuming they keep making them.

Bought my very first Z back in 1998, a 1979 280zx which I still own. From there I owned more 280zx's, a z32 TT, a 280z and two 240's which I still have. My father drives an '85 Z31 turbo so it's in the family. From the get go, when the Z was brought back from the dead, I wanted one. Hell I still have all the sales literature from 2002-3 when the Z33 went on sale.It was only recently that I could afford it.

In October of 2004, I saw a 350Z in the parking lot of Home Depot. I walked around the car several times. This was the first car that stirred my emotions in 30 years. I decided then to get one. Two months later I bought my 350Z.
Had a toy matchbox Z when I was a kid in the early eighties and fell in love with them since.
I was in the airport a few years ago and picked up Car And Driver magazine. I saw this beautiful car on the cover but didn't realize it was a "Z" till I flipped open the pages.
My jaw hit the ground...I couldn't sleep on the rest of that flight.
I would have never predicted all the mainstream exposure for this car but I don't blame the media.

Always wanted a Z when they were called datsun lol. Never could get 1 because of where I lived [ northern minnesota] and could not spend the $$ for a play toy. But now I can and have been happy ever since getting it. Well worth the wait.

I had always wanted/loved the 300ZX as a kid. But, when Nissan announced they were discontinuing the Z line, I was heartbroken.
Then... In 2002 when they released the first pictures of the Z prototype, It was love all over again. Like seeing an ex-girlfriend who looks hotter than when you dated her and wants to start things up again with you.
