Good job getting them to get you what you wanted. Next time def do some research on the various model options, it'll save you the hassle next time

Buyers Remorse does include cars and just about anything that has a contract agreement.

Buyer's Remorse - Pleasant as the dealer may be during the selling process, legally their obligation is over, and yours begins, when you sign on the dotted line and drive away. In most states consumer products are covered by 3-day Right to Rescind (buyer's remorse) laws. Unfortunately, motor vehicle sales and leasing contracts usually aren't covered. Contact your state's Attorney General's Office for more information on buyer's-remorse law in your state. If you find you don't like the car you bought, you're generally out of luck. In rare circumstances an understanding dealer may help you out. The paperwork may take weeks to process, though, and you can expect to lose thousands of dollars. If you bought a car privately, you have no recourse other than through your attorney or small-claims court. Returning a leased vehicle is virtually impossible due to the amount of depreciation, paperwork, and fees involved. If you believe you've been misled by a dealer, and have documentation to prove it, contact your state's Attorney General's Office and Department Of Motor Vehicles (DMV). If either feels you have a case, you'll need an attorney as well.

Missing Registrations, Tags, or Titles - Licensed dealers are required to transfer title and tags within a reasonable period of time - usually 5 to 45 days depending on the state. If 30 days have passed since your vehicle's delivery and you haven't received your registration or title in the mail, call the dealer and ask for an explanation. If you remain unsatisfied after talking to the dealer, contact your state's DMV and Attorney General's Office to see if they can be of assistance.

What if the Car I Bought is a Lemon? - Under Lemon Law legislation, most states allow new vehicle purchasers to choose either a replacement or a refund if the vehicle can't be repaired after a reasonable number of attempts. Lemon laws apply only to new vehicles, ignoring used vehicles entirely. If you have a leased lemon, you'll need to talk to your leasing company, as most state's lemon laws do not apply to leased vehicles. You may need to contact the state's Attorney General's Office in addition to your own attorney if the dealership and manufacturer remain uncooperative.

(Remember, you are responsible for paying back your loan, no matter what happens to the vehicle. The manufacturer or dealer/seller is legally responsible for any problems you encounter, not the lender. If the transmission fails on the way home from the dealer, you still have to pay back your loan.)

The following sites have lots of useful information pertaining to lemon laws in different states.

Damn man. That is a *****y deal. But I must say, I am proud of you for standing up and telling them what the deal was and putting them in their place. For you doing that, You were able to come out on top and get what you really wanted. Most people wont do that. Thats like when The company was trying to tell me my Z I was buying was a touring edition, and When I pulled the window sticker out of the glove compartment behind the pass. seat, it said Enthusiast. Mine does have the Buttons on the steering wheel, TC etc. But I am an easy guy to get over also. I sent someone up to the dealership to buy an altima and she did. They promised me a $50 finders fee. After going back and forth with them about that finders fee for about 4 weeks, I went up there today to sign another paper for my old car. The guy gave me $50 cash and told me he will send me the finders fee check in the mail tommarow for my troubles. So I got $100 out of them.

Basically if you dont stand up and say something, they will rape you. They always try to win. We pay enough for these damn cars already. I hope you like your purchase though and good luck!

Nick

Dude, this almost happened to me. Before I read up on 350z's and the various models and trim levels, I was looking at a red 350Z at a local dealerhsip.

They swore it was an enthusiast, so I took their word. Took it for a test drive, but didn't notice HID's or cruise control (on their website it said cruise control). It also performed a nice one tire fire. It didn't have any traction control or anything.

WHen I took it back from the test drive, I asked if they knew FOR SURE what trim level it was. Enthusiast for sure. "Canadian version" they said. WTF. "Ya, in Canada, Nissan had the trim levels a little different from the US models...enthusiast lines didn't have cruise control or HIDs".

THE CAR WAS FROM THE US!!! California to be exact. I did a carfax on it. Even it was Canadian, there is no difference in trim levels.

LMFAO on that one!

No wonder that car didn't sell - the dealership does not know what their product line is!

I keep reading things like these in the threads; there should be some kinda
system (a mini plaque, symbol, anything) to differentiate one model from another!

I had the opposite happen to me.. I bought an 03 touring from a used lot..

listed on autotrader as an enthusiast.. i saw the bose and the leather in the pics..

I asked the guy if it was an enthusiast.. he said yes, it has the enthusiast package..

it was listed at an enthusiast price.. needless to say i had them approve me as i drove over to pick it up.. i had $3500 down and the papers signed in 20 minutes.. =)

I'm glad I just stumbled on this thread - I almost just ran into the same thing - I think.

VIN : JN1AZ34D56M302333

http://hoffmannissan.com/profile.asp...n&FilterMake=1

Listed on the website as Enthusiast 2006 Blue. Claims LSD, TCS, etc.

On the lot, the sticker says GRAND TOURING! Claims all associated options - car has no bose, no steering wheel buttons at all. But it does have leather (see posted link).

Just to be 100% - this car is really a Base, correct?

Thank.

No, there are not. Base model is only one without buttons. All Performance models came with CC, VDC, TPS, & 18' wheels.

You have a Base with aftermarket LSD.
