Daytona Blue Paint
I've got Daytona Blue myself and just finshed up my 2nd coat of Zaino last night--the car looks outstanding--well worth the two days of vapor headaches (next time I'll open the garage door). The only complaint I have is that I have probably 6-7 paint chips on the hood now (after 4 months) and you can see the gray primer (I think that's what it is) showing through. That said, if you got the chrome silver the chips might not be as obvious. If I had to do it again I would likely get the DB, but it wouldn't be as easy of a decision. I'm sure that doesn't help but it is something I might have wanted to know before hand. Honestly though, however you do it you're going to love this car.

Honestly, I cannot see why how many Z's are a certain color matters. I could care less if there 5 or 5000 Z's my color. I like what i like and that is it. If you need a car or color of a car to make you feel special, then you got some major problems. For me personally, the la Mans with the orange looking leather interior is not attractive, thus should I order it because there are less of that combination than Silver? The bottom line is a lot of people must think silver looks good or it would not be ordered so much. Maybe if popularity matters and we want to feel like we have something no one else has, then we should trade in our Z's and get Pontiac Aztecs, that way no one has a car like yours. Hmm, maybe if I rice out an aztec I will feel better about myself?
I'm a DB owner. I have orange peel, my gas cap door has color match problems but from what I've seen every color has a little of both of these problems.
The color mismatch is not a problem with the DB paint. It's a difference in how paint bonds on metal and on plastic. It's there on all the colors, maybe more noticeable on DB.
All that aside I'd go DB again. 70% of the comments I get on the car are on the color. Only **** people like me notice orange peel/color match.

I personally have a Chrome Silver because after I saw the Silver Z at the auto show last year....I had to have one. I really could care less how many "other" silver Zs there are out there. Hell, in the last week I've only SEEN one other Z anywhere and it was Super Black. I'm not to worried about seeing tons of silver Zs if I barely seen any other Zs in the first place.
As for orange peel, the only noticable annoying orange peel on my car is the front bumper cover (I might get it repainted at my buddies body shop, they do amazing work)...besides that it's just fine.

Busam nissan off of kemper by tri county has a black, orange and daytona blue 350z if you want to see them all in person. They are a pretty nice dealer that is who I bought my spec-v from. I am going to go in there and get a 350z in a few months, but i have to teach my wife how to drive a manual transmission in the spec first.
