Default Third party warranty advice needed

I purchased an 03 touring last month from a used car dealership with 25k.

I have a third party warranty for 1800 from the dealer.

I'm stongly considering cancelling it since they were giving me such a hard time to collect money for a window motor repair. THey want the repair facilty to call them proir to repair, whcih nissan dealers won't do. Then they ask me to fax documents which i do but they don't recieve a good copy blah blah blah, they made it such a pain to make a claim .

Just started a back and forth with the dealer who make it even harder to cancel this warranty.

Anyone have some sound advice on a good warranty to purchase after I cancel this one. Also has any1 had similar problems?

Why would anyone pay $1800 for an extended warrnty?

I always own at least 3 vehicles ( a 4dr sedan, a samll truck, and a sport/performance car). I typically drive each on 12-15k per year, and keep them for about 5 years.

I haven't spent $1800 in repairs altogether in the last 20 years.

sounds like a rip.. I would get a refund on it .. at least as much as you can.. .if you can... you would have to look at the contract.

In the process of cancelling. Sent certified letters and spoke to dealer. According to contrract should be getting a full refund since I am cancelling prior to 60 days. Thanks for the feedback

good move,my shop wont even work with the warranty companies anymore.they want you to halfass the job and use cheap junk parts.

Aftermarket warranty Companies are just a joke. I work at a nissan dealer and there as much of a pain to deal with on our side as it is on the consumers. They want everything torn down to the absolute nit grit in order to inspect and half the time they deem that its not warrantable. At that point now we have to either stick the customer with the labor of tearing it down or eat it, neither of which a dealer likes to do.

If your going to get a 2nd warranty just get the nissan extended. I have one on my Z.
