I agree. After the C&D article, I had posted that all I wanted was for one of the mags to run a 13.9999 qtr. I am SOOOO pumped.

The performance on the car rocks im so happy with it. The 0-60 im going with the 5.2 ive seen haha cause its faster, and 1/4 mile 13.9 thats great and maybe the most impressive is the slalom at 67.8. This car is simply amazing.

paganbeast, they werent comparing the RSX to the Z, rather the RSX's road test results were being used to demonstrate how some cars have wildly varying test results. That was probably a result of the RSX's peaky engine, while the Z's consistant results were caused byt the Z's smothe motor.

paganbeast, while i agree with you that the RSX and Z are very different cars, you should realize that many ppl who can afford an RSX are attracted to the base model Z. While the base Z is a stripped down, it is still a Z car that is a way more potent performer then the Acura.

Go check out the RSX forums (like clubrsx.com) and see for yourself how many people are planning on trading in their RSX and getting a Z car (either Base or Enthusiast or Performance)

This community will inevitably be faced with many RSX / Celica / Eclipse converts because the Z is just within their financial reach with its competitive pricing.

THe only thing i feel will detract potential buyers is the fact it is a 2-seater (with little cargo room), they want more plush interiors, or if insurance prices climb in the next few months (which it will when young inexperienced drivers start smashing these up).

That's gotta be the AWD one, I think. I can't see how a FWD car could beat an M3 and 911.

Regardless, awesome company to be in, considering the competitors are 1.5-3 times the Z's price.

IMHO the TT is a bucket.

Actually the slalom speed for the FWD Integra type R is up there with any car, period. The problem with FWD cars though is that the front wheels do the driving and turning (on RWD the back does the driving and front does the turning) hence they wear out faster on the track.

What I wanna know is how can you get MotorTrend on the news stand before I get it deliveried. So much for subscribing : (

If anyone can scan the article, that would be great. Not on the stands here in NY yet.

But my real question is ... when does this issue hit the stands?
LOL, that is so me! 350Z is going to be my 1st car and learning manual. I've only driven the crappy family cars. Started with a 85 Nissan Sentra station wagon, then a Ford Aerostar van. We later got a Infiniti J30t, which was a big speed upgrade for me. I thought the Infiniti was fast since I never drove a fast car, imagine my reaction with the Z!!!! Can't wait though, at age 17, I'm ready to work my @$$ off to pay it off working part time 2x.

I cant wait for this car. Right now I have a ser spec v just isn't fast enough. Ive been driving stick as soon as i could drive so im ready for that. One of main reasons want this car is to keep up wiht my dad a tiny bit better, he has a viper haha. Gonna be fun to race them.

I'm gonna have to go out and get a drool bucket soon. It may not be the fastest with the mostest, but it's a great car and it looks "marvelous" (a la Billy Crystal).

all I care is 1/4miles with 13.95, which is good enough for me from stock engine.

Slap on a K&N filter, open up the exhaust, (remove spare from back), then you are looking at a 13.5-13.8 car!

Whoo Hoo!!
