Default 350z = Just can't decide=Advice Needed

I have decided to get a 350z..

The problem now is to get Auto or Manual.

The thing is, I race at times but at times would be stuck in traffic jam at times too. I have never use any teptronic system before. Can anyone help me in this?

Furthermore, I know its sound silly, I am even having problem choosing color. What I have in mind is silver, blue, red, white or black. That basically cover all the colors.. sigh.. idea?

Get the 6 Spd. If you race, you'll be disappointed with the auto. I have an 8 series that has the steptronic tranny and I have 100x more fun in my Z--even in those traffic jams. Yes, it can get tiring holding that clutch in and always doing the stop and go, but when you get out on an open road or a track, and you can run through the gears...mmmm...you WON'T be disappointed in the least.

As for the color, go with what first grabbed your attention. Gut instincts don't lie and whatever color your gut told you is probably the one you'll be happiest with down the road.

Good luck!

Well said 350zSpeedRacer. I'd recommend the manual transmission as well. I drive in heavy traffic frequently and its a non-issue to me and my 6-speed. And on an open road? No question its worth it.

Manual, don't hurt this beautiful sports car and make it an automatic.

Oh and go with Black.

since u like all the colour, u should consider the interior colour first then~ then eliminate the one without the colour combo u want, and there u go ur choice~

I was dead set on getting the auto, but luckily for me, it was pre determined that I get a manual (that and that's what the dealer had and I hate waiting).

Yeah, traffic sucks...but then when there's no traffic...mommy.

And I agree on with Speedracer - go with the color that grabbed you first. If you can, see if there's a Z meet or at least try to see all the colors you like in person and the different upholestry. Car color and paint depth is difficult to appreciate in a digital image.

Thanks everyone for commenting.

Yes, Malaysia does has it. But its imported by Dealers. Not officiailly taken in by Nissan. Most Auto Manufacturer doesn't bring their sports fleet into Malaysia probably because the market is small. But our Auto-Dealer are fairly efficient.. thank god for that.

Alright, I decided to go for Manual. Now its only the color.

THE ONLY PROBLEM now is that they only have Silver and darker silver in their Showroom. I saw the Black one myself. But I have never NEVER seen a blue one.

I have elimated the white and red. Now its only Black and Blue. However, as for the silver one, I will leave it as a choice as I can get it instantly. For other color, I would have to wait for around 3 months for it.

ding dong.. anyone got more comments?

Kelvin1704,

Get the manual if you plan to race or autocross. I have the auto and I love it. It is perfect for the way I drive.

If you have seen a color that grabs you, go for it. I have the Brickyard with the Frost leather - perfect for me and my tastes. I saw the CS, SS, DB, and LeMans Sunset and liked them all, but the first time I saw the Brickyard I was hooked - Lucky for me, since that was the color I chose when I pre ordered

My final two choices were chrome silver and daytona blue as well. The silver is the safe, classy choice. Easy to keep looking clean. The blue is also nice but it did not blow me away. I also didn't care for the way the door handles contrasted with the blue...it draws your eyes towards it as a focal point which isn't good.

My final choice was chrome silver.

It means your eyes are drawn to the bright silver door handle on the darker colored Zs, as opposed to the ligher colored Zs. It was just something I didn't care for even though all the colors look really nice.

I know it's still an internet pic, but here's a link to my most recent Daytona Blue pics. This color just grabbed me when I saw it on the internet and then it blew me away when I finally saw one in person.

If you want a sports car then get a manual tranny. Any color will do as long as it's chrome silver.

silverstone, chrome silver and daytona blue are all good colour, but if you wanna choose blue, you should consider what kind of person you are first, what i mean is some people change their taste and what they like with the fashion, this means that if you've just seen the colour recently and was hooked on this colour, you will have a chance that you might change ur mind after you've driven the car for 3 or 4 years, and by the time you don't like the colour, you'll gonna have some problems~ for silver(silverstone or chrome silver) it's not so attractive when you first seen it but i'm sure no one will disagree that it will last forever~

just my two cents~

Not sure how hot and sunny it is in Malaysia but light colors are better in very hot climates.

Going for silver, I am sure i wouldn't go wrong with it. But for blue, just becase that I can't see it myself in real, its hard to judge. The reason that I am considering blue is because of AGE.

U see, in a way, Silver suits the majority. Its some how looks more mature. For the blue, its more energetic. As I am only 25, probably it relates more to me in that way.

Oh well, I wish I can find a blue one somewhere in Malaysia. Or I would just travel down to Singapore and check if they have one.

ps: If i choose silver, I can get it NOW. If i choose blue, i would have to wait another 3 month.. SIGH..
