My Z helped me find my new daily driver!
That's right. My Z assisted in finding a 1990 Glacier White Pearl Twin Turbo.
Now, how did this happen? I had pulled into a Taco Bell in my Daytona Blue Z and was eating my lunch inside. A man came over to my table to comment on the Z and ask me a few questions. In our conversation he said he knew a retired chiropractor who was thinking of selling a 90TT. Now, if you know me you know I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on a car. I asked for his phone number and got it.
I called and left a message but didn't hear back for a week. When he called me he said he had been out of town and I could come look at the car. When I got there, I learned he was 78 years old, he had purchased it new, and most of the miles were driving to meetings from Florida to Illinois, Florida to Colorado, and Florida to Texas. That probably account for half of the miles on the car. It has 23k miles.
It's in pretty good shape, it just needs some TLC and a few items need mechanical maintenance, brakes are still the original, needs timing belt changed, has an exhaust leak, and the hood has some minor impressions on it from a tree limb falling on it. Other than that it's a real find, in my opinion. I paid $10k.
My Z was looking out for me that day at Taco Bell.
