After reading some of RXO's and ZISME's posts I am convinced the Boat is the key.......a bunch of Z's will be on one boat.....when does it leave, how many cars can it hold, what percentage of those cars will be Z's, what route will it take, where will it dock......after docking the cars will be transported to the dealers......the people with cars on the 1st boat will get their cars about the same time-the people closer to dock sooner than those further away.......after the 1st boat there will be a delay until the 2nd boat....and then the process repeats........someone on this board has to figure out how Nissan ships.......I know there have been some tries, but if we really want to know I think this is the way........the other key is how many 's will be on that 1st boat.....the whole boat??? half??????........

I believe one of those boats holds around 3200 cars.

 

Scafremon posted the shipping schedules a while back. Try to search. The title of the thread was "what floats your Z" or something like that.

Since the VIN numbers are released the day after the ship leaves the port (I think ZISME posted on that), and since noone here has stated that they have received a VIN number it looks like there our no Zs on the United Spirit and World Spirit that are currently sailing. Which means the EARLIEST any Zs can arrive in the LA port is August 25th . Which means NO deliveries until September. It looks like the only hope we have for ANYONE getting a Z in August is if there is going to be an earlier shipment via another ship to the East Coast. . . . Sigh .....

 

That seems very logical to me robbyn. When we work as a group, and combine what we hear, we start to see a bigger picture.

But, like you said, if there are other ships involved, August still could be a possiblity.

And one more thing: No one has ever confirmed to me that the ships I have been tracking are going to have Z's on them. It's just the results of internet research I did. I could be wrong. But, I have spoken to people involved with these ships, and while they could have easily told me "No Z's will be arriving on these ships", they just listened to me, and would not confirm or deny what I had researched.

 

I know we have heard that once the cars are loaded aboard the boat, that the VIN numbers are know. Given the communication history and delay of information thus far, I don’t think it is completely impossible that some Z's are already on the way over here. I think we will have a better chance of getting the VIN once they hit US soil. I am done pursuing info on my car, I will know my VIN when I pick it up. I will let my dealer track its progress from now on.

Never give up hope. I am still hoping for an August delivery.
