The Wife / Diamond Rings, key chains and Purses
The wife got a talking to prior to letting her drive the Z.
We have had a 1999 Trooper for a few years now and I have noticed that there are more and more scratches on the driver side doors everytime I wash it.
So I investigated.
I even made her show me how she approaches the vehicle / unlocks it and gets in.
She approaches with her purse and keys in left hand whch boasts a 1.5K rock ( Her Keychain has allot of stupid girly **** hanging on it too.)-- She basically scrathes the truck with the keychain diamond ring and purse everytime she gets in it.
Solution:
Wife owes me 400 bills for the re-spray of driver side doors on the trooper.
Wife only gets One Key and Keyfob for the Z. (Not to be attached to the girly chain)
Is only allowed to use keyless entry and carry fabric purses while driving the Z

all this talk about your wives and g/f scratching the car.. then you made a poor choice in choosing your s/o.
anyway i used to park next to nicer cars thinking they didn't want there car door ding but yesterday i was watching this guy get out of his Porsche at my apartment complex and he just slammed his door into the truck next to him. what an ***.

My sole door ding came at busch gardens, you know how at amusement parks all cars park at once in order, so you see the person next to you. Well I even score an end spot, give the pos cobalt as much room as possible, even look the girl in the car in the eyes when getting out to go to the park and at the end of the day BAM!! a huge door ding and white mark right in the crease of my driver door.
Carsmetics took it out for like $85, can't even tell it was there.
Also just had my windshiled replaced yesterday for a rock trip on the way to said Busch Gardens trip, stupid I-4. The little things you should get over easy, it's better then an accident or faulty major engine part.

I feel your pain man. I park in the middle of nowhere and im still finding paint scuffs and stuff. Its going to happen but it still pisses me off. As far as small dents, i had one right on the curve of the body too (that curve is a magnet for other people's doors...). I took it to the nissan dealership nearby and asked when their guy comes around to fix dings on the dealership cars and such and i was lucky he was coming the next day. They fixed the ding back to perfect and it was 70$. They also have touch-up and clearcoat pens in every color available for the Z on some online stores. Im not sure how well they work though but its an option.

the other day when i was on the highway in a span of 30 minutes, i had FOUR different vehicles flick a cigarette out their window and hit my car. Four times! Is there a class that smokers take to be as$holes and not care about anyone but themselves. I could have strangled everyone of those idiots

I have a nice line of light scrapes about 6" long on my back bumper. It certainly didn't happen while I was driving...that means some moron backed into me in a parking lot. And kindly left without leaving anything. If they won't leave a sorry note, why not just leave a "f*** you the only car i care about is mine" note...just to be clear, ya know.
