UPDATE:
The Z has been recovered. Don't know if it is drivable yet or what is left of it, but I'm on the phone trying to figure all of that stuff out.
Also, the cops were just here dusting for prints and it looks hopeful. There were some in the house that clearly were not mine. Which is good. I'm thinking about getting an alarm system put in the house and a shotgun. I'd love a dog but can't take care of one as you should.
In sum, hopefully the Z is back in good shape. If not it's going to be an uphill battle with insurance to get them to fix anything mechanically.

Everything is pretty mixed up now. The police have a hold on the car so they can check it out before I take it from the impound. They won't tell me if the car is drivable or not, all they know is that it doesn't have a key. They won't tell me anything yet until the police have cleared the car to be picked up.
With all of the mods and the bluebook on an '03 touring, it would have to be in pretty awful shape to be totaled. I'm probably going to take it to Nissan and get the full "certification" inspection run on it to make sure everything is in working order. Just hoping that the insurance doesn't give me a "theft recovery" title now.
