I've posted about this before, so I'm really hoping it'll get better once the engine is fully broken-in....
I noticed almost NO change from pre to post break in. Feels a bit faster, but thats probably in my mind.

Little update, on the freeway the car generally gets about 28-33 mpg. I drove it again last night going 65 down a small grade, once reset it read 43.X, i had a little laugh, it dropped down to around 33 when the road evened out, going up grades the car reads at around 27.X. I only have a little over 300 miles on the car and it feels very strong. Overall i am very impressed at the highway mpg.

I averaged a little over 26mpg yesterday coming back from TN. Speed average about 80 mph. Little less sometimes.. quite a bit more other time.

after running a few tanks of 93 through the 07, my calculations are between 20-22 MPG, However I've been diligent with the break-in. 50 more miles and I hit 1200 so my new MPG will likely suffer.

Okay, so today I had to make about a 30min drive, which is unusual as I don't ususally drive for more than 10-15min at a time. So, I reset my MPG counter as soon as I started the engine this morning. From my house to my destination, about 30-40miles, one way, I averaged 40 MPH overall and averaged about 70 MPH on the highway. I got 23.2 MPG! Then, I started driving in the city and that dropped to 22 MPG quick! So, yeah. On the highway, on 6th, at about 65-70 MPH, my car is CAPABLE of getting 22-23 MPG. However, overall, I'm getting about 15 MPG...

Best I get with my 04 (soon to be an 07 ) is 17 on average... 12 miles of highway each way and about 3-4 miles of surface streets... not even driving like a dick either...

i honestly wouldnt trust the cas computer...i always do my mpg teh old fashioned way...fill it up, drive, fill it up again and then do the whole miles driven/gallons used....but if your guys readings are accurate, then thats pretty good mileage

I usually get a true 26-27mpg on the highway.
Right now I am at 23.7 mpg, thats on 260 miles so far. Mostly highway, but some town, and I get on it getting on the highway every day.

On longer trips I get 27.5, or better without really trying. I have seen 29 more than once, and that isn't on some 20 mile stretch, thats a couple hundred miles.

The Z gets the best mileage (from what I have seen) at 45-50 mph in 6th gear. That is running like 1,500 RPM and you can get over 30 mpg.

The computer mpg readout is not very accurate at all.

The only effective way to determine mpg is to calculate the amount of miles driven vs fuel used from the tank at fillups.

I used to do that in my old car that didn't have a computer.

I might go ahead and calculate myself and see how it compares with the readout this weekend since I will be driving almost 400 miles.

My engine will finally be broken-in (after three long-*** months) and I am taking it into Nissan for an after break-in oil change. I called, while making my appointment, and asked them about my MPG. They said that 15 is "normal" but they will check all of my sensors.

I'm not familiar with Nissan, but does this sound like a "brush-under-the-rug" reply? So far, I've been very frustrated with my local dealership as most of them are all incompetent and it seems like I know more about this car than they do.

EDIT: BTW, I get around 315 miles per 20gal fill up.
