California Road Trip
Well guys its about 20 days till my girl and i hit the road in the Z to Cali. The trip will consist of 9 days and 3000 miles. It will be through Salt lake, San Fran, Down the Hwy 1 to Pismo Beach, Down Hwy 1 to La Jolla, over to Las Vegas and back to Denver. I'm very nervous taking the Z on this trip with all of these parts in my room waiting for install. Do you guys have any tips for me to keep the Z safe and in a good efficient manner on this trip? Also car prep tips? Places i need to see in Cali? Any advice on this would be great!
Oil change before you go , check the fluids , brakes etc etc . Normal stuff , the car will be fine.
Oh ya check tire pressures and the pressure in your spare.

There is a lot of places in SF that we toured as a Z Club:

If your coming this way the "17 mile drive" of Carmel by the Sea is a must!
You need not take a tour. But, it's a good website so you can see what there in Monterey and Carmel. You can drive the 17 mile drive by yourself for $5 or something. Major sightseeing points.

Carmel/Monterey are one of the best places in the world.

Laguna Seca Raceway is closeby. 5-10 miles away. ;-)
You'll be passing by Big Sur a few miles south of there. Another great area you'll see. The roads are just fantastic through that part of HWY 1.
Maybe Hearst Castle on the way to Pismo. Right on HWY 1 as well.
Pismo is another one of my favs..... Running the Dunes in a quad or 4WD is a downright hoot.

Another question for you Cali guys, are there some good restaurants and car washes that are touch free / full service down the coast? ( got to keep the z clean as a whistle)
