Shipping to and registering my Z to EU (gas emissions advice) -->
Hi all,
I'm trying to find a way to import my car to Greece. I will not stay there for long, but I will be able to make some good profit by selling it over there.
I asked around and found out about the customs, shipment quotes etc. The only thing I still need to figure out is whether my Z complies with the EU gas emission rules (which AFAIK are kinda strict). I'm having a real hard time doing that. I think I have found the Euro-5 limits, but I can't find the Z's emissions... According to Euro-5 regulations, M1 petrol cars should not exceed these: 2 particulates, 40 NOx, 25 HC, 1000 CO (without fully understanding the meaning of all of them).
So, can anyone give me a clear answer as to what the Z's emissions are and whether they comply with the Euro-5 regulations? Thanks for any input, I really need some help. And any other info advice on this venture would be greatly appreciated.

Call the Greek Embassy (in Washington DC) or one the Greek Consulates and ask them if there are any restrictions concerning the import or sale of foreign cars in Greece. If they don't know, they can direct you to the people who do. Most likely, if you intend to sell a car in another country, you'll find it difficult and expensive since most countries impose duties and taxes on this stuff. These rules are all designed to protect their local car industry and prevent outsiders from profiting without being taxed.
Good luck in any event.

Thank you very much for your input.
I am aware of the taxation, I have calculated that and any other expenses (shipping etc) and it seems like I can make a profit of more than $10,000
. Zs are expensive in Europe, and the currency rate's helping me a lot.
I will try to see if I can call these guys, although I highly doubt they will know anything about such a detail. Thanks again.

But if the Z has been bought from Greece, that doesn't necessarily prove anything. Gas emissions might differ between the american and the euro version. Unless you can assure me that they're universal. Thank you for the input.
Thanks a ton. Can u confirm that I really need to do those modifications? I mean, is it mandated by the regulations that I need to have everything in KM? The speedo has KM on it and I can switch the trip CPU to KM as well...
