3: Turbonator, Electric Blowers, Electric Turbos, etc.
4: Installing more horsepower than you can control
5: stickers for parts that are not installed on the car.
6: non-functional anything! to include:
-fake hood pins
-ake bbk covers
-wheel spacers for properly sized wheels
-12k HID lights
-carbon fiber body parts( full replacements, not the add-on pieces like lips)
-fake vents
-stretched tires. get the right size that fits, makes the car look like crap
-fake power modules or chips off of ebay
-triple pillar gauge pod for a N/A car (why???)

-VRT intakes

7: big chrome wheels 20" or above- save those for SUV's or Chrysler 300s, not sports cars.

9: wings that weigh more than your wheels

11: large decals all over your car instead of paint, to include racing stripes or racing decals for a car that will ever see a track, ever.
12: spinners of any size or make
13: front grills that look like the foil on a electric shaver
14: Fart can exhausts. enough said on this one
15: Chrome trim
16: Gold emblems
17: replacing stock steering wheel for a racing wheel on a street car. hate to see what happens in ahead on crash...
18: "bagged" suspension on a street car
19: eyelids of any sort on headlights (same for the tails)
20: unpainted body parts
21: two-tone paint
22: car bra. the black ugly ones
23: flat black paint jobs. the car is not a civic, please do not treat it as such
24: painted stock wheels
25: blue lights in the turn signal area
26: dark limo tint. same for the colored crap

32: twin turbo badges on a N/A car

i have only read half of this thread, but had to respond to this post. at least skorch starts his post by saying s/he hates rather than just slaming what he doesn't like. i have c-west bodykit on my yellow z and no way am i painting it. i love it! the previous owner painted the brake calipers red. not so sure about that; it just makes me wish it was a bbk! it looks ok with the black wheels. imo. when i learned that the 350z is called the fairlady z in japan( i have only had the car a little over a year), i changed the emblem right away. it is such a cool name compared to 350.

people do this on all sorts of cars for auto-x to keep the cones from scratching the paint too much. it's not a "mod."

 

lol... some of the things people hate on are kind of senseless, for example loud exhausts and large radius mufflers. Wtf? Since when is it not okay to have a straight-through exhaust system, especially if you track the car. As far as I know, the maximum raius of exhausts for our cars is around 4 inches, so it's not like you're seeing anyone with 10" exhaust tips, but just clownin on stuff everyone has on this forum.

Chrome wheels are bad? LMAO, wtf? go look at the Top Secret cars. They are completely chromed out. Wide body kits? wtf is wrong with those? Loud cars in general are bad now? Sounds like a bunch of old people complaining, or those that can't actually afford to modify their ca heavily. Please show me a single FI-ed car w/ a semi-track setup that doesn't look "bad" to you.

stickers and huge wings and anything related to fast and the furious i will agree with though; it's definitely stupid.

wtf is wrong with dark tint? you guys are getting a little out of hand with this. tint not only makes the car look better but it protects me and my leather interior from the sun and heat. so.. there.

and wtf is wrong w/ 20's? They look a TON better than 19's to fill that space between the body and the tire. It all depends on the image you are trying to achieve. and I am still slammed; I can double as a snow plow during the winter, if you are worried about the car sitting "1 inch higher." Sure, they aren't weight-effective, but they look great if you get a good style and color combo + drop. Hey, mine even look almost identical to the OEM Infiniti upgraded wheels, if stockers make you happy.

^^well 20's aren't exactly conducive to performance/handling.. that's pretty much the main reason why i wouldn't put them on a z. but if you're going for looks STRICTLY then yeah, certain wheels look dope in 20"

 

Yeah, they are definitely not good on the track lol ... I tried. Looking to get some track wheels this year.
