Default Adjustment warranty

I have a 2005 (purchased new) with 8000 miles. I took the car to dealer with the rear-axle clicking. He indicated that this was an "adjustment", which falls under the adjustment-waranty of 12months/12500miles. My Waranty-manual clearly indicates this special adjustment-waranty. After 15minutes of debate, he won ($120 for both axles). Question: This sounds reasonable because no "part" failed, but does the existence of a TSB override the 12month, i.e., does the TSB have any trump-power like a recall, or is the TSB just 'notes' for the service department?

A service bulletin is an addendum to the maintenance manual. It tells technicians how to fix stuff. Because there is a service bulletin does not automatically mean that it is a warranty fix.

Clicking rear axle is a deficiency in materials and workmanship. Do the rear axles of all vehicles click? No. So why does the 350Z rear axle click? Because it is a deficiency in materials and workmanship. All deficiencies in materials and workmanship are covered by warranty.

I would pull the BS card! My 2005 was covered way after the supposed "adjustment" warranty. Although I have never seen this documented in the owners manual.

Simple question, "what was adjusted"? And since when do new parts and adjustments go together?

Pitch a fit..............

Ask to talk to the service manager, if he gives you BS ask to talk to the legal department, I bet they fix it free. xD

I'm sure I did. Note: The TSB covering this issue warns that if the axle locking-nut is re-tightened too tightly, the clicking will re-occur. So, regardless of how many times you replace the axle bolts, "adjustment" is clearly part of the problem.
