Why couldn't nissan make a bright orange Z. Like Porsche or Lambo? Solar Orange just isn't orange enough. I would have gotten a bright orange one if it they had them.

I don't think orange like the Gallardo/Murci/GT3RS would look so good on a Z. There is a car with a MasterGrade kit painted the Gallardo(better of the two Lambo oranges IMO) and it looks pretty crappy.

 

Pleassse tell me you're kidding...I have an LMS and if I had to buy a new Z, I'd have to pick a new color because Solar Orange way too bright..

 

Nissan didn't make it because there is a very small amount of people who would actually buy it. Those very people would be hurt down the line on resale as well.

What's the last kinda-normal car that came from the factory with some super bright orange? All I can think of is the Mazdaspeed Protoge.

I know what you're sayin, OP. I believe the orange Nissan selected isn't of the same color quality as, say, the Lotus Orange. It's too pastel for me.

 

I really think you have to live with it a while to fully appreciate it in its own way. The color takes on a totally different personality depending on the amount of sun and/or light it is in. Sometimes it looks VERY orange to me, other times it is a more subtle orange... Oh well, I love it

+1 on the oranges that are out are more than enough. plus, not to take anything away from the Z,but when you look at a Lambo, porsche, etc. they have more of those exotic lines that can compliment colors like that (even that lime green color some lambos have), IMO I dont think the Z could pull off such a wild color.

Im not a big fan of the solar orange, but to each his own. I think the LeMans Sunset is an awesome color for the Z. There arent many cars that look good in that color- Vette and Z- and in my mind that shade of orange is gorgeous on the Z . Im waiting to see what the orange on the new GT-R will look like.

Honestly though. Its all in taste. But I love the color. Its one of those you must see in person to appreciate. Its not for everyone though.
I orig wanted the Lemans, but I saw the Solar when it was released and said I had to have it.

 

I bought the solar orange last month and think it is fine. Maybe it would hurt resale but I would have liked a brighter orange compared to the one on it. But, at any rate, I am enjoying the car!

 

Seriously you paid 30k plus for the car, you should be able to blast some britney spears while rolling at 2mph and not give a flyin f^(k LOL

 

Yeah, very few cars can pull off Sunset well. I was thinking the same...Z and Vette. The New Vette in orange looks really good, seen a couple on the road.


I really really hope they bring back LMS for the new Z...that would make me so happy.
