Hello Ken,
That price is a bargain if you are in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don't believe that there is much difference on an '03 & '04. I have a 19 year old son, the wife got him a bimmer (5 series) when he was 15 1/2. He is now a very experience driver. No one knows Jon better than you. I am sure you did a good job raising him. He deserves a Z. If it's just going to be a commute car for him, the power of the Z is high enough. Good Luck!

Sheesh.
I bet he only gets to drive it and it's actually his parents ride.

It's just funny when I hear of statements like "I know this kid whose parents bought him a Mercedes Benz SL" or something of the like. They didn't buy it for HIM, they bought it for themselves, and whenever he wants to use it he can.

Don't you mean, she bought it for HERSELF and he gets to use it to impress his friends?

I bought my Z when I turned 18 with my own down payment and I pay my payments and insurance. I'm 20 now and I think the Z is a great car for young guys like us. Anyone who says otherwise is either jealous of all the younger guys on here or spends to much time on this damn forum in the first place and should get off their *** and get a real job so they can by something or their son or daughter, or sadly themselves...

Why wouldn't you teach a 15 year old to drive in an Enzo? Because it has too much power and is too expensive for the kid to be able to concentrate on actually driving.

Same idea goes for your son. Buy him a beater...let him learn how to drive, and once he gets a year or two of actual driving experience (autocross doesn't mean $hit), then buy him something with more than 200 horsepower.
I've only read about 10post in this thread...
But why in the hell are you comparing this to teaching somebody to drive on a enzo?

You're an idiot. That's like trying to compare a cop shooting somebody because they were attacking him to a convict raping his cellmate in jail.

IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Your kid is going to turn out like my little step brother. Given everything on a silver platter, lives in a 500K Condo rent free with a free truck.

He isn't going to college, he skips work every other day at his $10/hr job. His new truck is all f'd up from taking it "romping" at the lake. It doesn't run. He is going to jail for speeding in his "free" 10K motorcycle. Lost his drivers license of course. Over $4K in fine he of course won't be able to pay.

My little brother who grew up with nothing is in a top 25 business school with a 4.0 GPA working at a consulting firm for $18/hr as a INTERN. Pays all of his own bills by choice.

My spoiled cousing got a 3 series when he turned 16. Went to a 50K a year private school and did sub-average getting a degree in Computer Science. He never applied his expensive education and is managing one of his family's restaurants.

His family is going through tough times financially so what does he do? Sell his Navigator for a 545i and demands a raise. He lives in a house mommy and daddy bought. His spoiled older sister and her husband live in a million dollar house parents bought and are currently embezzling money from their parents company.

Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day.
Teach him how to fish and he can eat for ever.

Spoiled little B*tches get theirs eventually.

Funny you mention everybody but you...maybe you should sell your Z so you can move out of your parents basement and get your own life so you can quit paying so much attention to all your relatives'. He was asking a question, not everyone's life is as sad as yours so don't make comments that offer no insight into the post.
