Default Average Mileage for 350z...

How many miles at an average would it take for a 350z to start having serious problems to it... I heard that because it's nissan, the 350z's mileage doesn't go up that high...

I guess it would depend on how far the concrete wall is ? Concrete walls have been known to cause serious problems to 350Z's...

Weird topic you've started...

To break it down for you, the oldest Z's are only 5 years old so there's really limited data of high-mileage Z's. I would estimate that 98% of Z's on the road have less than 100k miles on them.

I have an 03 with 83,000 miles and it still runs strong, with absolutely NO problems (knock on wood). I do all the maintainence on it myself, but it's never had to go to the shop other than to take car of a recall issue. The VQ motor the Z uses, has been rated as one of the best for the past 10 years running.

With regular maintenance and replacement of parts that wear out,e.g. clutch breakes, I'd think you can expect at least 200,000 miles out of the Z.

Japanese cars typically run forever with reasonable care. No reason for Z to be any different.

Don't listen to these guys, they have no idea what they are talking about. The Z has a very specific breakdown schedule in its computer.

7,430 miles: front left brake pad cracks down the middle and small needles emerge, scratching the rotor to hell.
13,729 miles: secret hole in oil pan opens and drains all but 10% of its oil; damaging the engine but not destroying it.
21,295 miles: front right and back left tires pop as soon as speed is > than 63mph.
24,704 miles: All bumpers engage their unlock sequence and fall to the street.
25,004 miles: All lights on the car & dash flash wildly, then draw extreme energy from the battery, causing it to explode, whereby its hidden tank of metal-eating acid splashes all over the engine and liquidates it.

So unless you do something to it sooner Z's only last about 25k miles.

you guys are dicks =D.

to the OP i know a couple z's with 100k miles no issues. it all depends on you the driver. if you drive it hard every damn time and never do any maintenance, thats no you. with proper care the car should last a very long time

my muffler bearings are totally shot, and my crank pipe is falling off.

not to mention a few cracked rods. My Z is 4 years and 9 months old, so i wouldn't expect yours to last any longer than that. Get rid of it while you can.

mines going to the junkyard this weekend.

How many times do I have to tell you. Check the technical service bulletins for that stuff.

Back in 2005, there was a guy on here with a Greddy TT and like 120k miles on his 03. I'd love to know how many miles he has on it now.
