I let the dealer do my battery, but it was just timing of me needing my 30k service so it was easier to do at once and get oem parts.

+1 A monkey can change one out in 15-20 mins. It's got the be the easiest thing a person can do on their own. 70-90 dollars for a good battery and that's all you will have to pay.

Ummm....that doesn't add up? They can't seem to do math at that dealership. 90 and 75 is $165. Not 149.99...I wouldn't trust them anymore. Why let someone work on your car that can't even count. That seems dangerous to me.

Man, I told you I could have sent you an optima red top for less than what you paid for their crappy battery they give you. I have a brand new one sitting here, I would have given directions on how to put it in too.

They probably tried to screw you over, because not many people take their car to a dealership to have their battery replaced. They probably figured you didn't know much about cars and decided to try to exploit that.

Lesson learned.

P.S. for future reference there is a DIY(Do it Yourself) forum in the modifications section of this site.

You're too stupid to connect to color-coded wires to two clearly marked terminals on a 12 volt system that requires little more than a open ended wrench without messing anything up?
I would have charged you the $200 lazy idiot/stupidity fee. You're lucky it wasn't a rush job.

whattttttt the hell is wrong with people. if someone isn't comfortable doing something, why's it matter to you??

hell everyone kept bugging me to install my plenum spacer myself.......excuse me, NO. i've never changed the oil in a car, let alone open up the damn engine.

euff, people and their ridiculous judgements.
