Default First post.....but i got questions

sup all..... i just got my touring 350z (4/30/01) it has a MSRP of 33041 or something like that but i got the dealer knocked off a few $$ which came out to be 32000 and that's around 35000 "out the door", i'm wondering if this is a good price..... i heard that some ppl could even get only 500 above invoice which my dealer told me it's impossible (they said it should have a mark up)......I'm from Southern California......is this a rip off buy? (i hope i didnt) please post anything that you guys know....any reply will be greatly appreciated...thanks

Do you have the window sticker? (not the extra one that the dealer puts stuff like paint protection, window etching, etc) If so did you pay below that? It sounds like you did. That is super. Many of us paid sticker. Some paid a premium. Others like you paid under. I think you got a good deal, besides you got a Z. It is worth every penny that the sticker claims. Have fun with your new ride.

you mentioned two numbers 32K and 35K "out of the door"... I'm not sure what second number means... +tax or +options?

"Out the door" price usually means final price of the car including all options plus tax, title, license, and any dealership paperwork fees. If you got it below sticker than you got a good deal. Congrats on the new car!

Go to the Nissan site, build your exact car with all the options and get your MSRP. This should be the exact same number on your window sticker…it was on mine.

dont worry about what you paid,

seriously, why even bother with an extra $500.00 here or $1,000.00 there.

You paid a "fair" price, you could have done better, or worse.

My car had a sticker of $36,666.00. I paid $35,000.00, or just under $37,000.00 out the door.

Invoice has no relation to the price a dealer pays. Invoice is simply the suggested price that NISSAN sells to dealers.

Dealers can haggle with Nissan as well.

That is the Nissan rep can say, I have 5 nissan 350z's if you take all Five I'll give them to you for X amount of dollars. Or if you make an order for 20 350z's we give you one free..etc....etc..

So you are in the ball park,
Eric
