Default Is This A Deal Or What???

I went to my local dealership and they had a DB w/frost leather in stock. I wanted a good deal so i bargined for like a 10 min. I gave him an offer he went in the back to ask the manager. He said its good. The deal was $34,000 out the door with tax and all fees. The MSRP was 34,614 something that. Should I shop around more or get it.

P.S one more thing the car has 206 miles on it is that a big deal?

The price sonds o.k. But be weary the miles. I like a new car w/ less than 10 miles.

I agree. The price sounds good, but 206 miles could mean 200 redlining, brake stomping miles by salesman during the breakin period. Could spell trouble later.

Be wary of the miles. The Z I test drove we drove the **** out of it. I said thanks, now order me one...I only want PDI miles on it. They sold it to someone, I got mine with 8 miles on it.

How long will dealerships usually take to order you a new one? Are we talking days/weeks/months?

From the end of the assembly line to parking lots to shipping containers- both here and in Japan, it is impossible to find one with less than about 6 miles on it. My dealer made that clear before I ordered.
Mine had <8 miles on it.

But with less miles, or the trouble of special ordering, may make the dealer not see the potential for the otherwise easy sale he can make. They may go up in price to do it.

what 350Z model is that?

usually it takes about 2-3 days for the dealer to get the car after you've placed an order...

My car had 105 miles on it when i got it...

Quite a good deal i guess...
but then again, it depends on what are the options that you'll get in the car though....

I got mine (DB touring) about 2 weeks ago, for around $37k, with all the options except the aerodynamic package, which is $500+

My DB touring listed exactlty for that, and I got it for $32,000 (50 miles). That was late December, though, in St Louis.

When was that car built? The same options now cost $40 more, and have for at least a 2 or 3 months. I just spec'd mine out again, and the exact car lists for $34654.

The point to that is if it's been in inventory for several months, they may be willing to deal more.

My options:

side air bags
trunk mat
regular mats
kick panels
splash guards
6MT

my Silverstone Touring listed at $34,614 too and i got him down to $32,250 so I'd say keep haggling. invoice for a Touring model is in the 29's i think, plus the holdback. if you're paying $34,000 for the car the dealership is probably making around $5,000 profit off you.

haggle, you can get him lower.

I got my SS/Charcoal with all your options plus aero package for 34K with 15 miles (10 of which were my final test drive).

It's a fair price, but not the best deal out there. I've seen better deals than mine.

Invoice on mine was $31,109, not $29K.
