Those last two, especially the last one, are sweet. Where can you get the parts for those things? I have searched the web some and haven't found anything significant. Do you guys have any links to make it easy? Any recommendations for a newbie to RC cars?

A good place to start if you're a n00b is with an HPI car. They arent as adjustable as some of the pro level cars and will get beaten if you race competitively, but they are durable, easy to drive, and can sure take a nasty beating. I started with a Nitro RS4 racer2, but they new HPI. the RS4 3 is even better. Once you accumulate skill, move up to a pivot-ball pro car. Thats how i did it, and i have no regrets.

That should get you started

by the way, i have a stock orange radioshack zipzap and a monstrously modified bit char-g.

is that thing easy to control, mine is electic, and I replaced the Battery with more juice and put a much larger/faster engine in it, it is crazy fast for how small it is. TOns of fun though!!

If I was to build that car, how much money should I expect to invest (or maybe a better word is spend)?

Default Yeah, but...

You may be faster than my T-Maxx, but if I catch you -- It's monster madness time, baby!

I got the nitro monster truck because you can drive it over curbs, the lawn, rocks, neighborhood cats, etc without slowing down. It's an absolute blast to play with. You can use it with jumps too... a T-Maxx can fly up to about 6 feet high and still land safely, if you're careful. I'm about 50/50 on decent landings though. After I broke the rear strut brace, I decided that was a little high.

if you shop on the net, you can get into a nitro car (stock) for about $300, once you start modding it, it can get very very expensive. $500 for very careful shopping can get you a pretty nice set up that is plenty fast.

the small electric like mine runs just over $300 for car and remote, another $100 can get you a MUCH faster engine, NiCd batteries (faster and last longer). The Z body is only $15.

I have a bit over $700 in what you see there, a lot of expense comes in maintenance and upkeep not to mention if you smack a curb at full speed you have to start all over again

My advice is don't get involved it can be like a drug habit.

It is OK if you don't like to have range on the controller.

Not an advised mod

I got a Nitro RS4 2 last year and duplicated my Camaro. I dumped $500 easily into it with controller and everything else, then used it twice? But seeing those pictures makes me want to get a Z body for mine.... arghhhhh and I was thinking about trying to sell it!
