No way would I thumb my nose, I have the greatest respect for everyone on this sight. I have never posted before today, but I have looked at this sight everyday since it was born!

I believe there have to be cars arriving on the West coast, just no one has fessed up to it yet. It would seem pretty strange that the first Z's would be delivered to the midwest first, who knows, maybe the $99 processing fee included 2nd day air?

If no one believes me, ask TODD350Z on ZCAR.com, he is a salesman at Bommarito Nissan, where I ordered my car.

cheers

I don't see how this could be true because I talked with the guy that does all the pre-orders for Regal Nissan in Huntsville, AL. and he said they recieved a fax today that said ALL 350Z orders had been pushed back one month.

May have his own plane. Might want to call his dealer and see if he checked his fax machine today.

zPilott, sorry if this is duplicate of what you did. I just wanted to break down the piece-parts.

Man Pelzi, I hope your dealer is right. 'Cause if you get your car this weekend, that means all of our cars might be here sooner than we thought. That would be great.

That St Louis dealer stated on zcar.com that only 1 of his cars were coming in August and that others would be pushed back until September. He said that unless you were #1 or 2 in your dealer's allotment, you wouldn't likely see your car until at least September. He seems very informative. Need to encourage him to start posting here.

22,000 cars for all of the US is nothing. Considering there are something like 400,000 Accords manufactured every year.

I'm glad there are only 22K coming to the US, that's the last thing I would want is for the 350Z to just be another "car" on the road.

Pelzi, how about hopping on I-55 and taking a little road trip to Chicago so I can see your car? Mine's not supposed to be in until September

Z Dreamer-

Are you sure about that number? Considering that they will producing the 7000 preorders through, at least, Sept-Oct, it seems unlikely that they would be able to produce twice that amount in 2 months. In addition, I have heard several NNA reps state 30,000 for the 2003 MY (model year). Which would make a little more sense.

Pelzi, that is great news, i was just wondering when the midwest would get a peak at this car? Seems alot of others have seen it.

Im about 6 hours from you in Nebraska, if you get this ride on Sat. I personally think you should sit in it , have someone take a picture of it with saturdays USA Today, while flippin' the bird to all of the ones that thought you were making this up!

But then again if you are pulling our chains with this, and i do believe the people by large bodies of water (Oceans) would get thiers first, just because i use 30% of my brain, then you might be in for a swirly!!!!!!!!!

Wait a minuite here, 22000 coming to the US??? There have only been approx 6500 pre-ordered. Does Nissan think that they're going to sell 18000 more that quickly?? Or is the 22000 number an estimate as to how many they PLAN to sell annually?

Nissan plans to sell 30k the first year, 20K per year after that. The 22K number would be the first year's allotment minus the pre-orders. They will be sold over the course of the model year, NOT by December.
