They seem to grab better now... but when I first put them on I was drifting nearly every other turn.
Gotcha, for some reason I was thinking you were doing that in a straight away. I have the base too and also notice slip in the turns as well. I can't wait for my LSD, I'm tired of having to back off the gas around turns because I have one tire spinning.

Really I haven't noticed any slips during turns. I have a base and take turns going into second well over 3k rpm. You are either letting off the clutch to quick or wot on entry on the turn.

Yeah, you're probably right. How do you like your 07? Isn't the HR like the best engine ever?

just follow everyones advice in this thread, this was my first manual too and ive put about 400 miles on it, my 1-2 shift is sometimes jerky but for the most part is smooth. starting from a stop was the hardest part for me well keeping it smooth

I only slip in turns while shifting to 2nd if I dump the clutch a little and gas it, fun actually, kicks the back out in a controlled manner. LSD is nice!

I'd say take it back, get an FD3 RX-7, swap in a built GM LSX and rip the roads with your 2800lb 600HP beast!

Or you can just drive the Z and be cool.

I don't know if anybody mention this but don't let go of the gas as soon as you step on the clutch, you let go of the gas when you know you're about to reach your friction point. Doing it this way allow little time for the rpm to drop resulting in a smoother shift.

^^ The rpm's drop way too slowly in the Z when engaging the clutch. I hate this (waiting for the engine to slow before doing the shift). You see the problem with the Z when comparing/driving a Porsche or 'vette.
