If you want it...buy a model that has it.

How about simply answering an honest question instead of being a tool? Seriously, I cant stand forum morons.

I got my 06 Base Z for less then a base 03 Z, and my Z has very very low miles. THAT is why I asked that question.

See here and I thought you were the moron for asking about putting TCS and VDC on a Base Z. You would spend more money doing it than you saved going base. Maybe next time you'll figure out what you want in a car before you purchase one?

Again it is a question. Apparently you have nothing better to do then make smartass comments. I know what I wanted in my Z, and I got what I wanted beside the TC and VDC, but the large price break I recieved far outweighed the later cost of possibly adding them.

Anything is possible if you've got the time, know-how and money. Is it practical? Probably not. The base doesn't have the electronics and probably some of the hardware either. Your ECU would have to be changed out too.

Your likely looking at $5,000 ++ if it can be done at all.

The money you think you saved would be chewed up & then some to add the TCS or VDC(which includes TCS).

Your assumption the money you saved was more than the cost of adding VDC is probably incorrect.

I would guess that $5,000 wouldn't even get you started.

At a minimum you'd need:
  • Wheel speed sensors
  • Wheel speed wiring harnesses
  • New ECU
  • TC/VDC button
  • Replacement wiring harness

You could probably find a third-party who may be able to do it for $5,000...

You should be glad you don't have TCS. Just get a good LSD and call it a day.

Like PDX said, the things you need make it not feasible at all. The VDC/TCS setup is a pretty integral part of the electronics.

+1 I turn my TCS off everyday when I get in the car, unless it's raining, and even then it doesn't help...

Great set of tires>>>>>Traction control. This is a fact, friend. First thing you'll want to do is get rid of the deathtraps that your car is riding on.

OP- get a nice 1.5lsd and some sticky rubber, and like magic. your car will handle without worrying about the vdc acting up.
