Sorry about the bad luck. A few years ago my ex-wife was in the middle lane on a freeway when a barbecue came off a pick-up and she had to take it. It smashed the grill and jambed up under the car. She was also lucky she didn't hit anybody else.

Sad that so many of us have the same story. Mine was 2 big bits of metal came flying out the back of a truck miles ahead of me on a motorway overpass, well at least they hit the bonnet, not my window.

Feel your pain FastZ33

Thanks for support guys! I feel better today. Yesterday was just a bad to begin with and this just pushed me over the edge. At any rate, the car is fine. I havent looked underneath it but it was all plastic so I am pretty sure its all OK.

IcW@TeR, the wheels weigh in I think at about 30lbs mounted. FastZ33, I am giving you a call...

Any thoughts on how the Nismo V2 will look with the greddy sides?

Ruff Racing wheels are generally pretty heavy. But, they look nice and are made pretty well. I have the Ruff Racing 280s. Not sure on the weights.

I kept my track wheels for the track days and keep the 278's for daily driving. I did take my spare out once I put the RR's on because I could feel the weight increase before/after the track wheels came off.

Road debris for the loss, indeed A while back I was driving home on 495 at night, doing about 75; I change lanes to exit, and there, laying across the lane was someones full cat back exhaust. I didn't have time to change lanes again because of a car beside me, and after running over it, the derelict exhaust got caught between my front wheels and splash guards.

There were sparks flying like no other, looked like I had some 4th of july fireworks attached to my fenders, like some Evil Knievel stunt I had to jack my car up to get the **** out, and my front bumper was contorted from there forth.

Excellent times. I feel for you man. I hate people.

OMG same **** happened to me this morning. I hit a piece of a pallet and shattered my Cwest front lip. I was so furious and I could do nothing but wait for the impact. I had a semi and a SUV next to me so I could not swerve anywhere. I hate these f-in roads and this is the second time I hit something on these crappy-*** roads.

Nope, it smashed my lip, broke it in half and I ran over it.

To top it all off, right before it happened I had some douche in a volkswagon who wouldnt let me over on the onramp. When I passed him on the interstate, he gave me a thumbs up like I thought it was cool or something, needless to say I gave him the finger.

Ouch no good. Apparently it ripped the entire bumper off, or you pulled it off due to damage?
