Default My Racing Style~>>.. Recommendation Welcome

well let me start off with my car... my car is 05 touring edition 5 speed AT....

Since i have automatic.. i don't have a rocket start,, but i do 2 of these method...

1) I put my mode on D.... I press on accerlator at the same time my breaks.. I push down my break pad hard enough so the car don't move, but i push on accerlator to kick my rpm up..... when the flag goes up i press my accerlator all the way..

2) Or I use my manual mode (tiptronic) on my Z. I put on gear 1st until 45mph, and change it to 2nd gear until 60mph, and 3rd gear.

so u guys have any other advise or gimme an answer what is better, number 1 or number 2.. thanks

You just need some NOS. Then you don't need to worry about driving style.

how about you put it into N, rev it up to 6000 rpms and when the flag comes down, you throw it into D. guarantee you will win, the only loser will be your tranny. G/L

If you want to drive it like a manual, go get a manual.

sam... The answer is to take it your local drag strip and find out what is the quickest way to accelerate. In my town, anyone with a brain can run at the local drag strip on friday night. Preloading the drive train by stepping on the brake while reving the engine is pretty standard launch technique but does not work on some cars due to electronic safety features. Shifting at redline is often a good place to start. The variables include your tires and how high you hold the engine revs on the line which determines how much you spin your tires and how well you hook up. High stall torque converters allow you to hold higher rpms at the start. As you boost engine power, the AT may need beefing up to shift in time without hit the rev limiter in full auto mode. Check out the drag section of this forum. Have fun. Be safe.

My answer is ... go spend countless hours tonight studying this forum. Educate yourself.
Your tranny is probably suffering from your inability to drive.

haha just saw this in another thread ... it was made for you!

All the "get a 6spd and sell the auto" comments are really getting moronic and pointless.

Just like this thread. Just go out there and drive, figure stuff out yourself. It's how we all learn. But go to the track and learn there.

Oh my god. You can race an automatic. That definitely qualifies as a style all your own.
