Default Hello Z fans, Shawn from Fidanza w/ a ?

Hello My350z Members,

I am turning over a new leaf. got rid of my SRT-4 and also dumped off my Evo. I miss my old quick, slick coupe days I am building this car to be a possible Sema and show cicuit car for us in 2008. I have two choices, a 2007 silver alloy enthusiast or 2005 Ultra Yellow 35th 350z. I know the aftermarket is great for the DE and not yet for the HR. Which one should I go with, do the new treatments and engine work justify going with the 2007 and waiting for the aftermarket or do I go with the 05. We will either be going with a ATI procharger, STS rear mount turbo or Jim Wolf TT. Help me!! and thank you
p.s. Daily driver for the most part in the non-snow months.

i personally love the 35th aniversary model....unless you have alot of money i wouldnt buy the z brand new, you loose money the second you drive it off the lot.

if im not mistaken the 35th aniversary edition comes with 300hp (so does the HR though) instead of 287hp (correct me if im wrong), and i think standard brembos.

personally id go 35th.

Only the MT does, us 5AT got screwed . Depends on what you want to do? Getting a all the bells and whistles on the 35th will be worthless if you are putting a ton of after market products on there.

I would also assume that SEMA is interested in the new stuff. A dual intake, BBK, 2007 Z would be cool.

The HR has 306 SAE horsepower. Its closer towards 313-321 BHP (on the old horsepower rating)

I would go with a base 07 because youre going to replace a ton of parts and change what made the 35th anv. special. If its a sema car then everything is gotta go basically. Get the cheapest newest model possible and wait for FI or do some nice NA mods. Good luck and keep us updated.

Thank you for all of your comments thusfar guys I appreciate it. I'm about 70% towards the 07 myself. I promise the car will be done right too I'll have to update you guys when our two levels of twin disc clutch kits will be out later this year as well. I'll be picking your brains more in the future and please feel free to keep adding to this thread. Take care!

03... if you are building a sema car

your going to put a body kit on it, only thing stock is going to be the old headlights and tail lights but those are cheap enough to swap...

your going to rip apart the interior either stripped down race style or flashy interior tv every where you look...

your going to build a motor anyway... why start with a new one that you are going to just put new parts in...

take the 15+ K you will save and build a 03
