Those keys are made and sold by Rick Hesel, he is a top notch guy with great service.
I've talked to Rick and he intends to not only make the new badges for our cars, but also badges for our keys. Should be available for showing here soon.

I am thinking that the Nissan key with remote may work if the dealer willing to do it for you.
Let said you lost your keys and remote, you can buy another key from the dealer to replace it.
I think the dealer just have to reprogram your car the accept the new chip in the new key instead of each car is hard coded to a chip.
Can anyone confirm this.

I will say that I don't really care just how "cool" my key looks. . it's a key!

BUT, conveience is an issue on it's on. I love that key pictured with the lock/unlock feature in the key.

Is this something we can get? I will order one today if I find out where.

i doubt my dealer would ever agree to "specializing" a key for me...they're not cool people, and they seem real lazy...if i didn't want the car so bad, i would've never bought it from them...there are other dealers in the area, but it's the same problem...

Has anyone seen the Audi Quattro key? It's a key and alarm remote all in one. You press a button and the laser cut key flips out like a switch blade knife! I love that! Got to give it to Audi for attention to details like that. I was hoping Nissan would do something similar for the Z's, but noooooooooooooooooooo.....

It must be possible to make a custom key somehow! I love the Jag/VW keys.. like the Audi key, you press a button, and a key flips out. What if we could get something like that, and the button you press is a "Z" symbole? I'd be willing to pay up to $150 for this out the door , if anyone here knows how to do it or make one.

$150...ain't that a little crazy? for me at least...even though it would be hot, i rather save that for somethin else down the line...i was thinkin like a 20-30$ dollar thing at the most...

Default It will not be cheap...

I am flying to Tokyo on Monday, but I am still not sure whether or not these remote/key combos will work on our cars. I thought that someone had done research on this before and said that the Japanese system was incompatible. Of course I do plan on bringing my security code, keys and remote myself to see if they can build me a set.

I love my Audi switchblade key... and also my Z32 Titanium key.
Cool thing Audi did was give me a wallet key instead of a Valet key.

yeah the audi key's pretty tite...also that Z32 key you have is pretty nice!

is it possible to make an audi-style remote/key combo with our key?

this does seem like a minor thing, but i always thought the Z key was ugly compared to my much better looking audi key/remote.

They may make fun of us for having nothing better to do than talk about wanting a new key, but they have nothing better to do than post about us talking about wanting a new key!

Key-day '03 will be here soon and you guys will be sorry!
