Now there WAS a study released just recently the Z has the 3rd highest death rate for cars. Not that the Z itself is inherently dangerous. Just the inexperienced young drivers....

Dude, it has five-star safety all around (except passenger, which is four star).

Do a search on here for "wrecked my Z" or "totaled my Z" if you want to see what they can take. Some people here have walked away from cringe-inducing wrecks without a scratch.

Facts are your friend! Never listen to dealers. Also, always wear your seatbelt, PLEASE.

 

Any auto manufacturer that designs a sports car without taking careful consideration about driver safety would be extremely irresponsible. Also, any car with reputable racing heritage MUST be safe because -duh- it is used for racing and must protect the driver.
You are probably new to sports cars. Pretty much when it comes to it, the safest cars to drive are sports cars. SUV's -contrary to popular myth- are actually a lot less safe because they roll-over easily and the roof caves in on your head from all the weight (Ford Explorer who blamed tires???)

 

I agree, after some of the photos I have seen on this forum you wouldnt' think anyone would come out alive.

I would also like to add that from the accounts I've heard and the photos I've seen, the 350Z is as safe as they come.
People die because of extreme stupidity, extremely bad choices, or extreme bad luck. It's not the cars fault.

Yeah, I'm not going to reiterate what everyone else said. But you could just tell that the Z is a strong car, our doors are absurdly heavy for instance - heavier than the doors of my sold 2001 Maxima, and our FX35.

A tank is the best way to describe it.
