Second thing interior... Man that center console storage compartment is designed so cheap, I moved it side to side it was loose and made riduclous sounds, I completely agree with Jermemy Clarksons review on it, all make sense now, Plus the side panels on the door, and that loose ashtray in the middle.

Thrid was the motor, it had no where near the pull of an 07, I mean I felt really bored redlining my gears compared to the 07.

Overal the difference is Huge, I mean really there is really big differance between the previous year.

I don't mean to bash down the 04, I'm just stating my opy, I'd say the same If i owned an 04 and test drove an 07
if we wanted review of the car we'd compare ourselves. don't get on here just to tell us what you don't like about it. if you're too weak to handle the clutch, then you should be driving an automatic.

I had a choice of many Zs. 2003 track, 2004s and a couple of 2006s. I chose the 2007 over the others for many reasons. The main reason is because unlike most other cars on the road the Z is a sports car. Say what you will but most people tend to drive sports cars a little more harsh than your typical car. So I just didnt want to risk not knowing how a used Z was driven. It could have been at the track every weekend for all I know. So I just felt more comfy knowing my car has never been driven at the track or hard.(NEW).

Also, I actually am in the minority on this one but I like the 07 hood better. And the engine, well thats obvious !!! As far as price goes. Who the hell cares. Mine will be paid off in a couple of years and all you with the "paid off" lame argument by the way, cars will be 7-8 years old. And by that time way down on the totem pole of engines. I am sure within the next few years nissan will make a superior engine to the 2007. However, at that time I will not whine like a biatch when someone says the 2009 pulls harder sounds better and is faster than the 2007. I will take it in stride and move on with my 2007 350z that will be almost "PAID OFF".

Price should not be discussed here. If one can afford a new car so be it. You only live once.

I wieghed my car at Hotchkis and it was 3345.

i hated the 07's interior, i thaught it looked weird. my interior doesnt sqeek either.

not to mention the aftermarket support..not much out there for the HR motor yet. the only thing i liked on the 07 wich were on the 06's, is the temp control *****, which im buying for my 04..

plus why would i pay an extra 15-20k for only an extra 20 hp?

Thats you. I thought the extra 10K was worth the new car smell. The new engine. The new wheels. The new front end and rear lights. The interior that I thought was a vast improvement. A FREAKIN BRAND NEW CAR! 10k, dude its only 10k.

oh yeah, and the hood. Also, I can put VQHR on my lisence plate. Its only 10k!

Nissan has really increased the advertised curb weight over the years, by at least 200 lbs if I am not mistaken. However, it doesn't really seem to translate to that much of a difference based on actual weights reported to this forum.

Nobody here is whining. The OP clearly made a post trying to incite a flame war and succeeded. There are plenty of constructive reviews on the differences and most of us won't dispute the fact that the 07 is nicer. Enjoy your new car, you certainly don't need to justify the purchase to a forum of Z lovers.

I was talking about posts #67 & #68. They seem to both be '07. One is with driver and the other without so it could be as much as 300lbs.

Post your "hugely" superior drag time so we can see the "huge" difference.

What's huge? A tenth?..two tenths? You don't come on a Z forum and bash the model's previous years and not expect confrontation. Many of us here are Z enthusiasts not just fanboys of every new car that comes out. With your logic the original 240 is chit yet it revolutionized the market.Your thread is infantile and unnecessary and obiously written by someone with a superficial level of understanding. Grow up.

btw: read how they made the torque more usuable with new HR engine, do some research, and drag times 07 Z's are hitting 13.3, which is M3 territory
