When Honda redesigns the S2000 I think they need to add just a little more room. I was looking to buy one and the steering wheel rubbed against my right leg and my knees touched the dash. I'm only 6'2. I tried to talk myself into buying one but I'm happy I didn't.

My boyfriend is 6'4" and 240ish and he fits just fine and drives comfortably.

I rode in a friend's Audi TT and I was amazed at how tiny the cabin was - I feel so much more comfy in the Z....

Backseats?! We don't need no stinkin' backseats!!

My problem is that I have really long legs.. I'm only 6'1, so I'm definitely not the tallest. But as far as legroom and headroom are concerned, I feel more comfortable in my Z than in the old Supra ('94).

I have no idea of these guys that are 6'2 and above that say they are comfortable in the Z and the S2K. I am 5'11 and my seat in the Touring Z is set at the furthest point and I could still slide back an inch or so if I could. As far as headroom goes, plenty to spare so I can see how these 6 foot plus guys are saying it is spacious. BUT, at my height, my legs are not hitting the steering wheel, but I like to drive where my leg is fully extended to hit the clutch, brake and gas pedals. As far as the S2K goes, forget about it if you are over 5'9 cause that is one claustrophobic car for taller people. Your head is sticking above the roof and you are sitting at a 90 degree angle. Just my 2 cents, but if you are still looking into the Z, go test drive the car thoroughly and see if it is comfortable for your driving style. These comments do not apply for automatic Z's, but then again, why would you get the Z in automatic???

The salesman who took me for a test drive was 5'10 and about 350-370 pounds. I can't say he was comfortable but he drove for a little bit and seemed ok. He did look like a fish in the tuna can though .

6'2' 220 lbs and fit fine.

My dad, is 350 lbs. with 2 bad knees. He can get in and out of the passenger side no problem. I wouldn't let him drive.

I'm 6'6" weigh 180 lbs and have a 38" inseam. I have to bend my legs a little bit more than I did in my 1999 BMW 3 series but I'm still comfortable for up to 3 hours or so. There's no interference between the steering wheel, my leg and the console the way there often is in cars. Headroom is fine even with a helmet.

On the other hand, I had a student at a driving school once who was probably aroun 5'10" and 280 lbs and he could barely fit in the passenger or driver's seat (we tried both). With his helmet on, he had to tilt his head slightly to the side to fit. I think he was too fat to really fit in between the seat bolsters and was basically sitting on top of the bolsters.

And also, the car felt like a bloated, underpowered pig with both of us in there around Lime Rock.

My measurements are 6'3 .. 255 lbs, and I have driven a friend of the families Z a few times, and I fit fine. I am always comfortable in that car. No problems whatsoever.

And now, I drive my STi and I fit really good in that car, as well.

My friend rode in my Z the other day. He is about 6'1 and 300 pounds (linebacker type). He said he was comfortable, but I didn't seem to think so since he was spilling over the side bolsters. I think he would be better off in his Tahoe. They like'em big in TEXAS!!!

I'm 6'5" 295lbs and I fit fine except for the wheel interference with my right leg. I have to **** it to one side to work the brake. No problem with the gas pedal. If the wheel telescoped as well as tilted, or it tilted 2" higher, I wouldn't have the problem.

I am 6'2" 215 lbs and I wear 36/34 levi's so I guess I have a 34" inseam. I think the Z is quite roomy, but I wish the designers would have included a telescoping steering wheel. I have to sacrifice leg comfort a bit in order to reach the wheel. I have the seat set so that with the clutch in all the way my left leg is almost straight. My seatback is set so that my wrists almost reach the top of the steering wheel with my shoulders back. A telescoping steering wheel would have been a blessing.

So do you generally find being tall a good thing, besides driving 2 seaters? I'm like 5'7" 130 (131 1/2 soaking wet) so I can only imagine... Well anyway, I suppose you could consider me a mod...I make the car lighter!

I'm 6' 4" and 215lbs.

I just took a extended test drive just yesterday. I fit just fine, although I don't think I could be any bigger and be truly comfortable.

I also tried a S2K, but I didn't fit at all. I was on top of the steering wheel, legs totally crammed in, with the top of my head above the window.

This where Nissan and Honda have missed the boat on adjustability of their steering wheels, too low, no telescoping makes it less than comfortable. I notice that Honda/Acura have tilt/telescoping wheels on their 2004s. Nissan is lagging behind and are losing sales because of the problem big people have with the steering wheel. I have both the Z and the 99 Maxima with seat all the way down and still contact the wheel. Its the last time I will buy a car, no matter how attractive, with this ergonomic problem.

I asked the service advisor yesterday if he knew of a way to permanently extend the steering column. He looked at me like I was nuts, and then said no, that it would be a safety issue. I am still looking into the idea.

BTW, I rented a new Altima that had a telescoping wheel. You would think that having the wheel positioned properly would be more of a requirement on a sports car than an Altima.
