some of past and current threads on this board I am not really surprised.

*Keep it four wheels down and inside the white lines...I mean, if you feel like it.

If you read the article you would know that the Z is NOT in the top 20. The article uses the Z as an example on death rates but did not rank the Z in the top 20.

^ beat me to it.

the Z is mentioned in the article, but is not actually listed as one of the top 20 most dangerous. the s2000, however, is.

the z is fast hands down and other than a z06 its the best bang for your buck car. this car is not for an average driver, a person needs experience to drive this car even close to the limit.

A car is only as dangerous as the person behind the wheel. Dont blame the car; blame the driver.

Forbes is about 4 months late. It looks like a re-hash of this article on USAtoday (both based on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety)...

In this case, says Russ Rader, communications director for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an organization that represents the interests of the insurance industry, the 350Z is part of a group of vehicles that tends to be driven by younger, less experienced or riskier drivers, and stands out for having high death rates, through no particular fault of the car.
"When they are in crashes," he adds, "they're particularly serious ones."
not only did the z not make the top 20, they're not even saying it's a dangerous car. they're saying it attracts a more dangerous demographic of drivers.

I'll reiterate what only about 4 people noticed: the Z didn't make the list, it was just briefly mentioned.
