very nice written post.
How are you getting used to the clutch? I guess for a manual noob, it might not be bad, but for someone driving manual for a while, I dislike the clutch.
I put some stoppers on the clutch to make the pedal play a little better.

Great looking car. I want those wheels!!!
I looked for a GT and no one stocks em from the many dealers I went to. **** I had a hard enuff time getting a touring. All the dealers carried were base and enthusiasts

Nice review bro, the whip is nice. The only thing i don't like on the 07 Z's are the new rays wheels. They should have made a deep lip or something or keep the prior Rays. Nice car though.

Congrats on your Z.
I'm still in love with my 06 too.

OP, I have the same exact car and it looks good from all angles =p

(I'm at about the same point as you in terms of milage and) I agree with some of your points.

The non automatic locking on the doors is odd to me. took me a while to figure out since I can't remember the last new car that didn't have this. To this day, I find myself riding around with unlocked doors because of it (in otherwords, I still forget that I have to lock them).

About the brembos...they are needed. I test drove the other trims (because there was no GT on the lot) and the first thing I noticed / said to the dealer was, these brakes are not enough. Maybe I was just used to higher quality brakes beforhand from my other cars but that was an immediate response upon my first braking in the car. Fortunately, I knew they weren't reflective of the GT that they were trucking in for me. When the GT finally arrived I was like...ahh, much better

My e-brake was also weak. I resolved it first day at home.

The bose MP3 issue was big for me (but obviously not a deal breaker). I don't want to make CDs especially when I can go get a **** poor bottom of the barrel headunit that has an aux. even worse, other nissans with bose units have an aux. To this day, this is my biggest annoyance with the vehicle as it just makes no sense to me but at the same time, does not kill the car for me as I know I'll work out a good solution soon enough.

This statement is me to the T: "Often I'll find myself taking the 'long way' to my destinations just to spend more time driving.". My friends have been complaining / asking what took you so long to get here when they are waiting for me to arrive and the similar. I find myself getting sidetracked (even on the way to work sometimes)

Overall, I love the car despite the very minor issues and the potential tranny problem that I think I will see soon.

Pretty good write up from the OP. For the most part a pretty good reflection of my feeling on the car. The looks thing, I don't get. Like I said, I think it looks good from all sides / angles.

nice review. damn good color choice! i love how the MB looks when washed and waxed real nice, gets lots of stares and compliments.

other than the squeak in the 3rd brakelight housing, i have no complaints.

as for MPG? i am getting around 22mpg mixed, mostly city with some long stretches here and there. but i do tend to step on the gas a bit.

I think the 07 gets superb MPG. Just to see what the car was capable of, I drove very carefully on my way to my g/f's house 2 days ago. I'd say it was more of a "mixed" driving because it wasn't really in the city, but there was a quite a few stop lights. By the time I got to my g/f's house I recorded 29.4 MPG. Yeah, I was shocked too.

Basically, if you drive this car carefully enough (as in, resisting WOT and using higher gears), you can get absurd gas-mileage.

uh if you would notice. the car will auto lock in like 2 min if left unlocked. this is assuming you trust walking away from the car that long lol. i got locked out one time cause it auto locked and i ran inside my garage to find something. ghetto lol. and that jerky first gear with the whining sound its just cause it wants to u WOT

I think he means auto-locking when you're driving in your car

Also, I think that auto-locking feature only works when you press the unlock button but don't open a door... currently, my car is sitting in the garage and is unlocked, however I've noticed it will auto-lock itself if I press the unlock button without opening a door.

My ebrak feels very flimsy too. How did you fix yours?

I am at 2500 on mine and get about 19 on average, mixed driving, but I have been wrappin' it out lately. I wonder how long the stock tires are going to last. hmmmm

Is there a real noticeable difference between the Magnetic Black (2006-2007) and Superblack (2003-2005)?

I mean.. black is just black.. but the 2006-2007 black Z's do seem a lot nicer.

MB has a goldish pearl coat on it.

you have to see it in person versus a SB Z.

Black is not black unfortunately.
Some of the blacks are a straight gloss while some have flake in them.
I think the new ones have a gold flake in them as mentioned above.
