I try to wave at every Z I see. It seems like more people driving older Z's actually wave back. I dont know if alot of 350z owners driving around are just stuck up or what. I did have a guy in a Viper give me a wave and a thumbs up on the freeway. That was pretty cool, especially for being up here in Idaho.
Oh well, I will wave at every Z out there, even if they don't wave back.

I encountered a brand spanking new silverstone Z roadster on my road trip to Atlanta from Indiana. I gave him thumbs up and and the lady at the passenger seat gave thumbs up back. (They guy at the driver's seat was not looking at me.) Anyway, from that point, I and he had a good 30 min nothing but fun run over the freeway.
It's always great to meet fellow Z owners on the street! They mostly flash, thumbs up, honk, and stuff. I love that!

I always TRY to say hi to other 350Z owners. I gave up on the 300ZX guys...never gottan a wave back from them, just a pissed off look. And i put CAPS on the TRY up there because most Z owners down here seem to hate seeing a kid in one and also give me the pissed off look. I say about 1 out of 5 350Z owners i see around are under 25 and they are the only ones that wave back.

I get flashes all the time !
I usually stick my hand out the windo or point !
and yes I do wave to z32 and before, but they dont wave back. I think they are either jealous, dont know, or think I am poking fun. I love all Z cars as long as they are cared for

I have been known to fly through exit ramp toll booths as well to whip a U-turn under a bridge and fly back through a toll booth to catch a Z on the DNT or GBTP. Oh well, guess I'm not the only weird one

Actually, I think the general consensus (all 5 people...) was that the "Three Finger Salute" (just hold up three fingers on your left hand) should be the official "wave" of the 350Z. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure WayneTN and myself are the only two people that have ever actually done it. More than likely he received the same blank stares I received when I tried it.

whether or not people wave or wave back all depends on what kind of person is driving the car. If it's an enthusiast you'll get a wave everytime, if it's just someone who walked into a dealership and bought the car because they thought it was a nice looking car then they probably don't understand the Z mystique and don't particularly care to be part of the fellowship. Even better than a wave is a little cat and mouse when 2 Z's cross each other's path on the highway. I got my Z back in sept. of 02 and for the first couple of months I got waves, thumbs up,stares, people asking me to pullover, you name it. I will never forget that feeling no matter how long I own this or any other car.

If I ever get up to Boston, I'll be sure to try the 3FS if I see you coming.

I mostly get waves when Im on a two lane road or in a parking lot. I try to wave at all that I see but sometimes I dont see them until its too late.
I was at a stop sign the other day and waved out the window to a DB and he gave me a salute.
