Question O.K. Let's Talk ' INSURANCE RATES '

So after getting a quote from my tried & true Farmers Insurance (whom I've used for over 10 years on multiple vehicles) I've been quoted $580 every 6 months in my wifes name for the Z, who is 27 yrs. old, perfect driving record, $250 deductable, comp-collission, personal injury protection, uninsured motorist, rental car, etc. But that seems kinda high to me considering I have identical coverage on my GS (a more expensive car!) for @ $490 every 6 months. I'm 32 and also perfect record. What about the rest of you? And if we have "Insurance Folks" or connections please tell me whether or not this is fair.........

I have both car and home insurance with Farmers in central Okla. I was tentatively quoted, about 3 wks ago; $513/6 months for a performance car,100K/300K/100K for all you are getting, except $500 deductible with perfect driving record, etc. This almost identical to what I pay for my 99 Maxima. I must qualify this quote as preliminary, my agent didn't have the Z in their database yet, but it is probably pretty close. I'll check in the next day or so and let you know what the real figures are if they have their database up to spd. By the way, I'm 58.

Hmmmmmmm. O.K. My agent needed a VIN since they did not have the actual car in their sytem, but she gave me what she believed to be a pretty accurate symbol.

Well, I got a quote back in June for $832.60 over 6 months. I'm 25 with a clean record. I'd be happy to switch with you!

man all you lucky people. i'm turning 25 and with a clean record, however, i don't think my insurance is gonna be cheaper than 2500/year. there is another option for me though, if i can get my parents to insure it for me under their name and adress, i may cut the cost to 1500/year.

Quoted $371 for 6 months (I gave my VIN and they guarenteed this number)

I am getting the base model with no options. I have a clean record and use State Farm. I am not skimping on any aspect of the insurance although I do have a 500 deductible.

I was quoted $1400/6mo from State Farm for the 350Z and about $1050/6mo for the G35C. Luckily I'm getting the G35C. I'm 20 so this was expected.

I'm a 23/m and I was quoted about $749 every 6 mon with State Farm. I pay like $470 now with my 91 Legend, so it isn't as much as I thought it might be.

Im 20, On my old 300ZX TT i was paying $340 a month for insurance. I got a new Job that gives a company car. That company car is a Minivan. I do not want to drive a minivan even if it is Free! I made a deal with the boss for him to pay my Insurance. So now it is considered a company car. They pay for all my Insurance. I hope they will do the same for my new Z. But im sure they will.

My quote was almost $900 for six months. Full Coverage, with State Farm. I'm 24, live in New Jersey, no accidents or tickets. My Agent had the car in their system- she asked me which model I was getting and everything... she said that side airbags wouldn't make a difference for my rate- neither does LoJack significantly...

I thought that was a pretty good rate considering where I live...

I used the Allstate quickquote to see what it might cost me for some insurance since I live in Philly and rates are typically as high as anywhere in the country. I put in that I'd be 25 yrs old, since I won't be able to afford the car for another 5 months anyway, and it spit out $1200 for 6 months if I have a clean record. However I was caught speeding a few weeks ago (82 in a 65) which will be my first violation ever. Once I put in that one single violation, it bumped my estimate up to $2965 / 6 months. Can this be?

Any suggestions for my court appearance?

thx

Got a rate of $537 for 6 months with progressive, 100000/300000 liability, collison and comprehensive $500 deductable and 25000 uninsured motorist. No accidents or tickets in 40 years. I am 58 and single. Progressive does not class the 350Z as a performance car when I spoke to the person over the phone.

USAA gave me a quote of $378 for 6 months with a $1000 deductable and as my secondary car (can't drive the Z to work much anyway).

That is reasonable to me.

it sounds like you are getting an ok price. I have the VIN #s in my computer here at Allstate and i was playing around with it yesterday. I was shocked to find out that i will only be paying $65 a month for my 350Z for insurance. I have an address in arlington, gave myself a new car discount, alarm, safe driving, and multiple car discount. If you email me some information, i can help you since you live here in Texas.
Send me a "PM" and I'll give you my email.
And by the way Killermove, that is the types om numbers I'm talkin about!

It says State Farm in his post, and he is in North Carolina, a little less pricy than most places, I would guess.
