going with the FI route...talking about the block...the stock block obviously shows that it can handle the TT in some cases...and maybe all cases im not sure...but how much better does the car run in terms of NUMBERS from the stock block to say an upgraded short/long block...roughly.

You can get it up to around 400whp on the stock block safely with a GOOD, conservative tune and last awhile(i.e. tune by GTM)

It's ok to sound like a noob cuz you're one (at least to this forum haha)
GT Motorsports. They're the one you want to take your Z for tuning.
Sam is the BEST, end of story.

If you're going, intake, header, test pipe, exhaust, spacer, tune..etc. The best you're going to get is around 300 hp.

Sounds like it time to bust out the 100 questions thread

that's 300 to the ground. Your 306 at the crank is probably only putting down no more than 245 to the ground.

FYI your car don't have 306hp..05 Anny model with Rev-up is rated at 300hp.
Also don't think that 300hp and 07 with 306hp only has 6hp difference..the 07s would be at 313-315hp under the old SAE ratings.

Anyhow, only like two people on this forum hit 300whp mark NA with a LOT of effort, so unless you build your engine it's highly unlikely you'll reach 300whp.

I think it's now time for you to use search function and browse the forum for a while..there's plenty of info out there.

+1 and +1 I've been nice because it's late. Normally you'll get flamed for not searching. Good luck to you and search!!! (**going to bed**)

in that case, maybe you should do your own research and get what you want and not what other suggest. that is unless you want people to tell you what do do with your money, because in that case i would say to hang onto it and invest it wisely. because sving it for mods or not, you will still kick yourself in the long run if you blow it all now. but hey, you do what you want.

is 13grand all your going to invest? or do u plan on investin more later..? if u want to invest 13 now and some later... i would get a build motor.. that keeps u N/A and a whole lot more power and torque.. then later do a twin turbo setup.... get used to hitting low 13s and high 12s on a built motor first and then when your bored with that ... boost the **** out of it... you'll have less headaches this way...

Volks
New or used with new tires
Lug nuts
2,500 - 3,000

Coilovers
1,500 - 2,500

BBK front or all around

2,000 - up

I would cover these 3 big purchases first. Then use the remaining amount of $$ on the engine bay. This gives you a chance to research which path you would like to take your Z ( NA or FI ) before you start dumping money in the wrong direction.
