Default New 07 CS Base, weird quirk...

Just picked up my 07 Base model in Carbon Silver. Dreamed of owning the new Z since the 03 came out, finally made it happen. The only squibble i have, is that my elbow keeps opening the center console/cup holder thing. Everytime i put my arm down, my elbow always manages to push that button and open it. Anyone else do that? Other than that I love everything about the car. Had an 2000 Maxima before, suprisingly the Z seats are more comfortable. I probably should have paid closer attention to the options though, would have saved me 12+ hours looking for the cruise control button. The "Cruise" light is actually on the guage cluster, spent 90% of a 14hr drive looking for where they might have cleverly hidden it.

Tried moving the seat back and forth and different levels of reclining, it's like the distance between my palm and my elbow is the exact distance from the shifter to that button. So used to the raised arm rest from the Maxima.

KManZ: Definitely. And the Drive-by-wire accelerator, doesn't provide a lot of pressure against the foot, by the 12hr mark my foot was in agony.

I know exactly what you mean. That drives me insane. I try to keep my elbow right by parking brake. But every once in a while I forget and "Click"

Me too! I have learned to keep my hand on the shifter, or lean far enough back so my elbow rests on the top of the cover not on the button. Sucks tho, bad placement from Nissan IMO.

you think that's bad, I have an 05 touring and my elbow rests on the heated seat buttons, so yeah, when my heated seat turns on when it's 90 outside thats not funny anymore.

Better than the older models where a lot of people hit the emergency button with their right arm.

I drive with both hands on the wheel and my elbo doesn't touch. Although I wouldn't have both hands on the wheel for 14 hours either so... I just really wanted to add to my post count I guess.
