you know what, im 16, and ive had my z for about 8 months now, i really really advise you to drive casually almost all the time on streets, dont drive like needforspeed or somethin, and i know how bad you want the car, but jus be patient, i had mine garaged for 2 weeks before i got my license, i must admit i drove around the neighborhood practicing driving my manual. GOOD LUCK fellow kid, jus be smart youngblood!

OK - so no matter what you do, your a minor and your parents will have to get the insurance. If you don't' want to pay the insurance, you'll have to change the title so it can be deemed as a storage only vehicle, with special plates and registration. The problem with that is, you may never be able to reverse it and only be able to use the vehicle off road.

If you've found the deal you want and the car you want - then buy it, store it and pay the insurance for it too. Otherwise, if you wait another ~6 months - you'll be able to get a car 1 year newer for the same price..and maybe a better version as well..

well, i know what it is like to want something fast for a first car but i suggest if you want something fast and rear wheel dirve for a first car you should start off with something cheaper like a 2nd gen rx7/ 240sx/ miata(aka mx5) if your into imports or a camaro/mustang/firebird if it doesnt matter... but i say get the most safe car you can because it really sucks to wreck your car espcially a nice one... i have some experience in this it really sucks trust me

Be patient and wait. Dont let your dumb high school friends influence you into irrational decisions that you feel pressured by. You know what i mean.

Mommy and daddy are being unfair. They should buy you a 350Z now, and a race track so that you have some place to drive until you get your licence.

I can't believe someone would by their 16 year old kid a 350z. The car isn't cheap, and insurance for that age is through the roof. My brother in law's best friend bought a Z when he was in highschool with money he recieved from a life insurance policy after his fathers death. He had the car for 1 year and got rid of it because his insurance rates were over 300 a month.

Ok, take it from me. The Z is not a car to be learning standard on. The clutch on the Z is completely different than most cars. You will burn out your clutch within a week and there's $2000 out of your pockets..or your parents pockets. Trust me, if you're still in highschool just invest in an old 86-90 VW GTI and learn standard on that before going to a Z, you will destroy that beautiful car in no time.

get a scraper, do a couple 360s in that, wait a few years and then get a good car, you will thank yourself in 3-4 years

^ Naively, I will hope the parents make the correct decision on this. Virginia, like many states, is already littered with inexperienced drivers in above average vehicles thinking they were invincible.

Maybe you should think less about the Z and pay more attention in your English class. One of the poorest written sentence I've ever read. If you're this bad at writing in English after 12 or so years of experience what do you think is going to happen when you're in a 300hp car driving stick.Your parent are going to buy the car in cash or take out a loan? Were you trying to say your parent are going purchase the car and not lease it? Really think about improving your writing skills.
I've been driving since I was 15 and never had any close call in any way. I almost totaled my Z in the first 6 months when I hydroplaned and the rear started sliding everywhere. I gained control after several failed attempts and sliding backwards at 60mph. It was only through experience and(insert laughter) playing Gran Turismo learning how to regain control when losing out the rear.(It's a simulator, right). My friend with an equal amount of experience had the rear slide out during a off ramp. The Z loves to go sideways.

Point being, learn to drive, gain experience, learn to park, gain experience and since your parents are buying this for you, ask them to send you to a high performance driving class that teaches you how to gain control when the car loses traction with your life and car intact. It's your first car....you're going to FCK it up.

I know you've probably been day dreaming about being 16 in 10th grade driving an 06' Z and offering to drive home all the hottest girls in your school.
Trust me, new car with 300hp and a hot girl you like in the passenger seat there to distract you is not a good equation.

This could be you we watch on youtube:

Buddy, let me tell you from experience, don't buy that Z. If you want something sporty, get a FWD Coupe until you have more experience. (Try a G6 or Altima) A sedan would be your best bet. I had a Taurus that I drove for a bit, I am 18 and I have been in two wrecks. (Both not my fault) I am one of the safest drivers you will see with a case of incurable Grandma's foot. Yet, I still managed to get into two wrecks.

You will too, don't think any differently. Your not special, your not invincible, you car doesn't ward people away. Don't buy something insanely nice then have your heart broken if it gets in an accident. Also, a small car like the Z is prone to more damage than a mid-size car. Again, trust me on this. I got hit by a F-350 Lariat. My car was totaled. He had only a dented rim and a flat tire.

Don't buy that Z.
