I have heard the injen exhaust can sound a little raspy, especially when paired with HFC's or test pipes. I do not think it sounds good at all. Do a search for exhaust clips....decide what you like...that is the most important aspect.....regards...Ron

it depends on what u want to do with your car.
Performance or looks.
Twin Turbo+ intercooler+all accessaries needed+labor+boost control+Tune=lates 2 ur 10k. Maybe u can upgrade fly wheel/clutch/pulleys with the left over $, or change your suspension/tires. You don't want to drive a fast car with messed up handling ability.
Without TT, then u can do a lot more. The earlier replies can give u a good idea of what u can do.
ps. Rims make a HUGE difference on the way ur car looks!!!
Congrates for joining the Z family!

Welcome back. I have driven a few FI Z’s and would recommend wheels/tires and suspension first. The Vortech SC (400+ HP RWHP) had an on/off-switch type of power delivery. Cool in a drag race, but it’s not good to suddenly get an extra 150+ HP mid-turn, on the edge of the car’s traction limits. The TT APS (500+HP RWHP) was awesome, but skinny street tires can’t get all that power to the ground well. If you get wider, stickier rubber on the ground you will be better able to put down extra power when you get it. The car will also look and handle much better while you wait to go FI.

I would get some wide, light wheels and get at least 275’ish rubber in the back and not much smaller in the front. An aftermarket LSD might be a good idea too, (depending on how much power you want to end up with) although wheels, tires, and suspension will make a more noticeable difference at this point.

I have gone this route and am very happy with my Z.

Wheels/tires : $2000-up
Springs : $200-300
Sways : $300’ish
Labor : $600 (to install the sways and springs if you don’t DIY)
Quaife LSD : $1900 (including install)

Welcome back, man!!

I've ordered the Fujita intake. It has better figures and sound than the Stillen - at least that's what I've been reading and hearing. Check out VitViper's video after installing his Fujita with Intimidator exhaust: http://fullavit.com/content/Videos/Z...es_exhaust.wmv

I think you should definitely look at new wheels and wider tires. The stock '07 wheels are nice, but everyone has them. You need to make that car YOURS and the easiest way is with wheels.

Wow, that's some budget. My budget right now IS my car payment, so I won't be doing anything insane to it any time soon. As for your car, I think it's a good idea to check out Z1Motorsports.com. They specialize in forced induction kits - mainly twin turbo kits. They're very reputable for installing the APS Twin Turbo kit, which gets you a big chunk of extra power with relatively no lag, from what I've heard. Plus, it's reliable. Obviously, the motor will need some work done in order to handle the turbo setup. I'm thinking it'll probably run you between 8 and 9 grand for the full package. Then, maybe you'll have an extra grand or two left to spend on minuscule options, like wheels and tires.

Thinking about getting wheels here. Like everyone else, would like to spend as little as possible. So aside from deciding which wheels to get, is dropping the car necessary?
