The funny thing is about 95% of the cars were too low or had side skirts that would NOT clear the lifts... luckily they were prepared and had PLENTY of
2x4's ready to go. LOL
I also forgot to mention this, in mid-sept, the dealership is hooking up with nissan to host the midwest debut party of the nismo Z. They are having a car show, prizes, free food, etc... I'll post more about this in the events section once I get more info... But as everyone has said, we are extrememly lucky to have such a supportive dealership. They are also planning on hosting a free track day for the local members! They have taken customer service to the NEXT level. Autobarn Nissan FTW!!!!

That sounds awesome. More then likely the owner or general manager is an enthusiast. We have a dealer near us that allows us to have car meets on his lot, but to open up the service bays is above and beyond anything I'd expect a dealership to do. Wish this was closer to home!

You are right on the money. The managers are all hardcore enthusiasts... Oh... and to make you guys even more jealous, they give all parts @ 10% above their cost to the local guys. Actually yesterday night they even kept the parts dept. open so ppl could buy fluids, etc. from them.

Just to talk about the customer service here--we put on my BBK last night and got done at 10:30. Pulled the car off the lift and the line still had air and needed to be bled again. We put the car back on there until it was absolutely perfect. Guy told me he was covering for a friend tomorrow and had to be back in at 7AM and lived over an hour away. These guys stayed until almost 11:15 in the eve to finish up--probably pulling a 14 or 15 hour day.

Yup. The whole experience was awesome. That's my Black Z with the Works on the lift. They were prepared for lowered cars, and were extra cautious getting them in the air. The Techs were all super friendly. The manager even ordered pizza for everyone. The parts guy spent over an hour looking up a hard to get part for me. They also had a new Nismo 350Z for us to drool over. Best dealer ever, hands down.

Wow, cool dealership...
Usually dealerships won't do this because of liability & insurance. That's why you always see those signs that say no customers allowed beyond this point.

This service just proves that I have to buy my Z at Autobarn (I actually live in Evanston). I went last night to watch and visit with people -- the sales manager heard they have a car I am interested in, sent a salesman to get it. He put plates on it and tossed me the keys so I could take it on unsupervised drive.

Dealer of the Year Award for sure. The 3 local dealers support our club with 15% off parts and service, but I am going to direct them to this thread and see if we can score something like that.
OP - are you part of the Windy City Z club? The Midwest region wants them to host the regional show next summer. Sounds like that dealer would be able to help them out. If you are not a member, some pretty nice people there.

Not a member of Windy City, we have a different group... different demographic. We're much more active and larger then the Windy City Z club. 15% off isn't bad.. but not as good as 10% above cost! Anyways, PM me later on, we would love to be involved with the regional show. The ChicagoZ.com club can easily bring in 100+ cars.
