its not because if he wants to mod it the 07 mod list can be written in one sentence.

So he has to wait a little longer to massively overpay for marginal horsepower gains like all the 03-06 folks, no big deal.

Anyway, most people doing non-forced induction modding to their 03-06 engines are ending up weaker than a stock 07 anyway. And if he's serious and plans to go FI, the HR should be a much better engine to add boost to.

um are you smoking if the man wants to go FI there is no proof right now that show ti to be any better at a given psi then a DE. If you gave me a 03 Z which was the lightest andmodded it with the savings spent on buying a 07 i would be able to have a built block DE that would be over 500rwhp. Whats your point . Lets eb realistic here the 07s are great NA wise putting down roughly 260s in rwhp but if your wanting to mod right now especially FI. There is only one choice besides waiting for the obvious.

And im not sure of your knowledge on des but bolt on revup with a tune was putting 290 rwhp. So yea and that wasnt with the best parts. lets get realistic here.

If i was gonna buy a 07 i would get a nismo Z because i love road racing and call it a day with everyother mod. really.

New Z > Old Z. Too many fkers trash these beautiful machines. Besides, wait a bit longer and the new motors will have every part available for them just like the old ones. You're not going to want to heavily mod it right away anyhow because of the Warranty.

It's a Z buy one and don't worry. If you need to have the fastest car around and still want a Nissan wait for the GT-R. The guys and gals on here build some wicked Z's and I wouldn't try and race them with my 07 ZR. I'd get eaten alive.

If you are concerned about running out of 2002-built Zs, you can buy mine. I picked up my Z on 10/02 with 4 miles on it, and I haven't touched 50k yet. Brake pads are still original!!!

The '07 is superior to the previous models in every way, but if you're looking to modify in a short period of time, the '07 has way less available upgrades.

2 years production car vs 5 year production car? if modding is in ur mind u think about it.... the 07s if at all any f.i other than the dynotune nitrous kit their tt kits should be at least in the 9-10 grand deal. due to new engine managements different routing, dual maf, ect ect. and to who ever said this engine is going to be better for f.i is tootaly wrong.. higher compression engine= less safety range in boost. no st kits for the h.r. so for the average buyer a 9-10 grand kit is a hit in their pockets. my opinion to you is.. buy an 03 with super hi miles for about 15-17k and spend 8 grand on a stage2 gtm motor and get a greddy TT kit for around 5600$ and about 3-4k in install and tune. so for around 25-27k u have a 500-600whp car(this is above average spendin limits). wich ever choice u make will be the right choice because at the end of the day is a car u always wanted.. and for n.a the 07s got it.. but not me at least lol im 288whp thanks to my utec =) 06 rev-up ftw!

This late in the year, you might as well buy an 08.
Oooh, did I just throw a wrench into his original plan?
