I was at Tower Records last night and saw the September Issue of CAR magazine (European) and it has a 350Z on the cover and it says 300HP for 27k Pounds. Why does Europe get 300HP and we only get 287HP? I tried to find their web site for a pic of the cover and article, no luck. I would have bought it, but it costs too much, it's a huge magazine!
If you read the article they go on and say the car has 287hp. They tested one of the many pre-production Zs in America like all the other magazines...don't know why they said 300hp on the cover...thought it was kind of odd too!

DIN is a European measurement of hp. Usually higher than SAE, which is the US measure.
Side note, Jaguar recently had to change claims of their S-type R having 400hp. The reason was that is was measured in DIN, not SAE. US judge ruled that is misleading.
