Break in is almost done WOO HOO 110 exactly

 

Someones going to have fun in a week or two.

My dealer told me that the Z's are run in at the factory and that there is no run in period to observe. I told him this is not so (as I have spend the last 3 months on this site, while waiting for my car). But he gets the Srvice Manager to allay my fears and he advise that I drive it as I wish, just dont bump the rev limiter. OK, so on day one I visit 5k only to get home later and read in the manual that Nissan recommends a 2000km (1200 miles) run in period, keeping the revs under 4k.

 

i still have about 450 miles to go... sigh... must drive it more i guess....

 

i'm 100 miles away from break in too! haha i can't wait... those 3 weeks flew by pretty quick, when I took my car in to get my screen done the guy was like wth u drove that far in 3 weeks where have ubeen going?

 

I drove around as much as possible for my break-in period. I got all 1200 miles in a little less than 2 weeks. I hit 1201 and got stopped at a redlight...and damn was it fast when i launched it on green

 

screw the break in period. I ran the hell out of mine after getting it and have no probs at all. i had the rev limiter pegged on day 2 when an ice storm hit and I couldnt go 1 inch. try that LOL
