I hated when people called my car cute. I had a Dakar Yellow M Roadster with a nice wing and a dual exhaust which featured 2 90mm tips per side! All the time people would say, oh, what a cute little car you have, it's like a little yellow go kart!

I wanted to strangle them, but that's another story...


The worst thing I've ever heard though was my friend had a yellow Porsche 928, and some ditzy blonde walks by and says, "Man, that's the sexiest VETTE I've ever seen!"

I had a guy compliment my Z as his "dream car" outside a restaurant one night. He then turned to his girlfriend and told her that he'd always dreamed of owning a Porsche.

I could tell just by looking at him that he was a gear-head.

I had another guy come up to me at a gas station and say, "That's got a 450 in it, right?".

I really was lost for words at that one.

Yeah, i don't drive the same car you guys do, but i do get those crappy comments alot. The bug-eyed car seems to be "cute" as well to some girls i have encountered. I usually don't care to much since they are girls, but dang it i care alot about the looks of my car! Cute just isn't something I would describe my car by, especially after driving it and modding it!

I was at a local car show one Saturday evening when a group of about 5 18 or 19 yr old girls came up and all started gawking amongst one another saying things like...

"look at it... it's soooo cute"

"that blue color is pretty"

"it's just my size... "

or my personal favorite...

"I would look great in your little car"
(I wanted to say... 'yeah, you would look great... bent over the center console with your head between my legs) but that's the dirty, nasty guy in me that fortunatley stays put most of the time.

Dammit. My mother in law called my car cute again. I look at this car and I just don't see "cute." I can see "bad ***" or "mean" or "trick" or something like that, but NOT "cute!" I don't know how many more times I can let her say that about my car. I better tell hubby to talk to her about that again.

This is by far the best one. My brother and I went to a small town in East Texas to look at a job. The only thing we found to eat that seemed appealing was a Taco Bell. We pulled up and and an old man asks me, " What kinda fandangle car is that?" I told him a 350z. He says " Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Son, Thats a Nissan emblem on the car." I said " Yes sir. Thats the "NEW 350Z". He looked at me with doubt in his eyes and says, " Son, I know Nissan and that's way to sporty for a Nissan". My brother at this point is laughing so hard and I was biting my tongue. He then said," Look son, out here in the country it's not proper manners to mess with old people. Now please tell me what car that is." I said " Sir, its a Ferrari" He said, " Thats what I thought, Damn car is way to sporty to be a NIssan. Why you would ruin it by putting a Nissan emblem on the car is beyond me." He turned around and loooked at his wife and said, " See, thats whats wrong with the youth today they can never conform with what they got, always have to change it." We still laugh about it. I love country folk.

Quite frankly I get lots of negative replys; like for instance:

My GF said it looks like a streached Volkswagon.

Her daughter called it a tampoon (have no idea why, she's young).

A Co-workers son (whos into muscle cars) said it was Butt-ugly (refering to the rear of the car).

Of course this is minor compared to the positive comments/gestures I recieve almost daily.
