Angry Finally happened

Well, the first damage to the car finally occurred. Last night driving home, I heard a loud thump. I knew that nothing was in the road, so I had no idea what just happened. I was about 3 minutes from home, so I decided to wait until I got home to see what happened. At first I couldn't see anything, but then I saw some liquid residue on the rear deck lid. Then I felt the dent

Still not sure what it was, I went back to the road where it happened, but I couldn't find anything that would have caused it, just a few branches from the over-hanging trees. I figured it wasn't a branch because of the residue left over.

Now I'm just debating on how to deal with it: pay some body shop to pull the dent and fix the paint, or but a Nismo spoiler to cover it up. I'll go in for an estimate sometime this week. Any thoughts or suggestions??

Sorry to see that happen to your Z. Just go get it fixed. If you have enough $ to buy a Z I'm sure you can afford to fix the dent, etc.

I'd suspect someone tossed something your way! I'd keep a look out for kids for a while in that area.

As for the damage, I'd get a quote on the fix and if it's considerably more than your ins ded then I'd just claim it.

what the hell? Had to be kids throwing stuff. Stupid kids thinking they're brave and all. Ugh!!! Well, it doesn't look as bad in the last few pics. Just keep getting estimates and try to keep the insurance outta of it.

That is a very unusual spot for damage. Something fell out of the sky? Not likely.

Not my house, gf's house. It was dark so I know they couldnt be targeting anyone. Thats if someone even threw anything. This morning I noticed that there are two dents (1 major one by the rear edge, and another smaller on in the middle). There are some scuff marks by the one in the middle and I can feel a small depression.

I have a ton of swirl remover, polish; so I'll see if that can be removed by hand/pc polisher. I'll run it by a shop this week and see how much they'll charge.

Yea, I have no idea what the hell it was. All I heard was a loud "THUMP" and thats about it. I drove past the area a few times and nothing stands out. There are a few branches and an aluminum can. If only I were going 1-2 mph faster Atleast it didnt hit the rear windshield. Or hit my or my gf. It could have been alot worse!
