Finally happened
Well, the first damage to the car finally occurred. Last night driving home, I heard a loud thump. I knew that nothing was in the road, so I had no idea what just happened. I was about 3 minutes from home, so I decided to wait until I got home to see what happened. At first I couldn't see anything, but then I saw some liquid residue on the rear deck lid. Then I felt the dent
Still not sure what it was, I went back to the road where it happened, but I couldn't find anything that would have caused it, just a few branches from the over-hanging trees. I figured it wasn't a branch because of the residue left over.
Now I'm just debating on how to deal with it: pay some body shop to pull the dent and fix the paint, or but a Nismo spoiler to cover it up. I'll go in for an estimate sometime this week. Any thoughts or suggestions??

I'd suspect someone tossed something your way! I'd keep a look out for kids for a while in that area.
As for the damage, I'd get a quote on the fix and if it's considerably more than your ins ded then I'd just claim it.

what the hell? Had to be kids throwing stuff. Stupid kids thinking they're brave and all. Ugh!!! Well, it doesn't look as bad in the last few pics. Just keep getting estimates and try to keep the insurance outta of it.

I have a ton of swirl remover, polish; so I'll see if that can be removed by hand/pc polisher. I'll run it by a shop this week and see how much they'll charge.

Atleast it didnt hit the rear windshield. Or hit my or my gf. It could have been alot worse!

It looks like fixing it should'nt cost much. I'd fix the dent and get the spoiler. After that you need to treat yourself to a new gift
