the 03 is a non rev-up 6500k redline while the 06 is a rev-up which is a 7k redline. dont get it confused with the 07 which is a high rev(hr). But the 03 lists more torque than the 06.There are differences, try and search and see what u find.id go with a 06 model.i think u can find one under 23k.

rev up motor has more power up top end. 300 horse vs. 287. 03 has more torque powerdown low they are pretty even in a race.

- 06 weighs more and is known for its oil consumption problem and noisy transmission.
- has bi xenon headlights for all models
- front bumper changed a little

- 03 has problems such as transmissions, tire feathering, etc....

Question 1: wheels, headlights, taillights, interior trim, front fascia. If the 06 is a 6MT, it will have a different engine (REVUP).

Question 2: see above

Question 3: I would get the 06 instead of the 03 merely for the fact that it is newer and has a few kinks worked out.

The '06 comes with the transverse-mounted V6 vs the 4-banger for the '03.

Well there is one difference that hasn't been mentioned, and that's the intake air tract. The 06 has a different airbox than the 03-05 Zs. It's actually better than any aftermarket setup, which is why you'll commonly find people retrofitting the 06 OEM airbox into their 03-05. Cool stuff, eh?

True. Forgot about that one. Also the clutch is lighter and more assist with the power steering at low speeds.

People are lazy and dont like to look for answers on their own. And honestly, the Z hasnt changed THAT much since it came out.

haha... yea i'd say the only real difference is a little bit better internals and mapping to give it more hp... the block is still the same, so is the frame and like 90%... the real difference is how it uses it's power cuz of the mapping... so don't expect to beat an 03 unless you can shift better or have the new 07 nismo version
