Default Interior... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I have heard many complain about the interior of the 350z and comparing it to the G35. I find the interior of the 350z to be simply awesome. Its nice to see some positive reviews in the latest Motortrend article.

" A generous dappling of real aluminum and aluminum-look plastic trim gives the interior a tasteful jewel-like accent. This interior is a playground or geometric patterns contrasting with animal textures, devoid of the cheap-looking flat plastic that populates the center stackof the Altima and G35."

Agreed...I don't find the interior lacking. I'm very happy with it. It's a little plain...but nicely done in my opinion.

If I wanted an interior to meet my every creature comfort I would have kept the Mercedes. I'll take plain, simple functionality all day long. Porsche` lived with that idea for 30 years, I'm guessing we Z enthusiasts can appreciate it as well.

You can't blame the people who complain about the interior after all it's not up to par with the Rolls Royces they drive.

Thumbs up

The 350z interior is like a black evening gown on a woman, it's simple, but it just looks classy.
Very good comparison

factorypolaris,

I think he means he wants to use it!!!!

Where in Mpls are you? Where'd you get your car? I got mine at feldmann's. Has your dealer told you when MN is getting some Z's? My dealer said late Aug. or early Sept. I haven't bothered them enough, been too busy and what's the point? it'll come when it comes.

What do you think if instead of the leather boot there was an aluminum plate with the gear gates cut out in it like ferraris have, just a thought.

I think he meant that the stick is that only part of the interior he cares about, the rest is just a bonus.

westpak, i agree, an aluminum plate would be really nice alone with an aluminum shift ****.

i also like the way audi TT's shift **** looks.

I heard "gated" ie the aluminum/chrome plate for the shifter that Ferrari uses is actually harder to shift quickly.

I can see where it would be since the gates are very defined and you have to hit the slot straight on, I've never driven one but I can see where it might be harder, but it looks nice.
